The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf: Why People Can't Take This Site Seriously!

I have been on here for three years now and I notice one common word being used a lot and that would be "troll". When ever I look at questions on here I see that used a lot and I myself have been accused of doing that, however I'm still not sure what a troll is (even though people have explained it to me). I myself have never "trolled" on here, my intentions for being here are completely legit. I came here to ask a question about a guy at the grocery store and ended up sticking around for the good friends I made here. However, not every ones intentions on here are legit and it's those people that cause so much distrust amongst all the users. So, here's why I think people don't take this site seriously.

1) People come on here just to goof off. Everybody loves a good jokster and someone who can liven things up and make others laugh. However, when all people do is answer peoples questions in a humorous way. It makes others take things less seriously as well.

2) "It's just the internet" mentallity. I get that this is the internet and there's a lot of blind faith that goes into trusting that the person behind the screen is who they say they are. I know there are some people that abuse that trust and pretend to be someone else, just to mess with a persons mind. I do get that. However, the over all thought that every person on here is "just on the internet", makes it seem like their problems are just trival and of the "internet". Instead of what they are, real people! With real problems! Looking for real answers! I believe that "just the internet" mentality causes many problems.

3) The little boys and girls that cried wolf aka trolls I have seen a lot of crazy things on here. Most of it is real. Some of it is obvious that it's not and some I'm not sure if it is or not. I'm quite the cynic. I have trust issues and I don't really care for people. However, when I see someone on here is in desperate need of help. It's my instinct to help them and give them the best advice I possibly can. The problem is, too many people come on here making up questions and problems that aren't even real. Leading to people assuming any little question that's out there, to be a troll (even if they are not). It's like the little boy who cried wolf, he cried wolf soooo many times. That when there finally was one, no one believed him. That's how it is here. People make so many things up, that when one finally turns out to be real. No one believes it. I consider that to be a big problem.

I think the over all concept of this web site, is a good one. The thing that men and women have had a hard time doing, is figuring each other out and this site helps each gender get an insight into the other. Which, is a good thing. However, I personally don't think this site will ever live up to it's full potential of helping people, until better and more important rules are put into place.

So, who's ever is in charge of this website. If you happen to read this, I want to give some advice on what I think should be done to make this place better for everybody. You spend so much time making all these changes to the site formate and stuff, but you forget the biggest aspect of this site is, the people using it. I don't think the joksters or the horny people are the problem, I'm actually friends with a few from each group and they're actually very awesome. Plus, you'll find those type of people offline too. So, they are not the problem. The problem is the trouble makers you keep letting on here, time and time again. Full well knowing their one sole purpose for being here is to cause trouble. So, you need to find a way to monitor these people and make sure as soon as it's known that there question isn't real, you pull it right away. Most of these people are easy to tell, because of they way they respond to the people who answer their questions. As soon as you see someone is just here to waste peoples time and cause problems, you need to pull their questions ASAP!

That is what I think should happen. I'm not telling people how to run their website, but I don't like that everybody gets accused of being a troll when they are not. So, you need to focus on getting rid of the ones that actually are.
