Why do women give the "bitch face"? What does it mean?

I'll admit it. I'm a pussy when it comes to talk to women. That's because of my past encounters with women have never gone well at all.

I am trying 23, and I am trying to get back into the dating game... but women make it so hard to talk to them.

When I see a woman I might be potentially interested in and I glance at them briefly, they always refuse to make eye contact, keep looking forward and look very mean.

It's the face that pretty much says --I am not interested, do not approach me, do not talk to me, do not stand close to me, do not look at me, etc, etc.

I have only approached a girl that had the "bitch face" once and it didn't go over to well.

These days, I see that a lot of women look pissed and don't want to be bothered, so I don't approach them

So, ladies, what does the "Bitch face" really mean?

  • Well to answer your question About how women can expect to be approached if they don't look welcoming, is if they look welcoming when they approach a guy.

It doesn't matter if you look mad when people are deciding if they want to hit on you as long as you are friendly when you hit on them.

Do you walk around with a smile on your face 24/ 7 ? Just curious. Most guys don't but people don't make a big deal out of it.

I don't walk around with an angry face but I'm usually focused on something which people can mistake as anger. That is an incorrect assumption. There are a lot of facial expressions between "come talk to me " and" fuck off ". :-)

  • One reason I do it is to ward off creepers. Also, because I was teased a lot growing up, so I am more comfortable sporting a bitch face to keep people at bay than to be open to those whom I do not know.

    • I gotcha. But if you are putting on the bitch face to ward of creepers, aren't you also warding off a potential guy who might not be a creeper and someone you may actually like? I've seen way too many good guys not approach women because they don't look like they want to be bothered.

    • Admittedly yes. It is a catch-22 situation for that reason. The guys that I am interested in probably don't approach me because I don't give off warm signals at first. It is a hard habit to break, but on the plus side, I smiling more at people and working to become more approachable. Back in high school, I remember classmates used to say "if looks could kill" because I had the bitch face on without realizing it.

  • Ah, I love that face. I use it a lot. Good times.

  • "Bitch face" means what you just mentioned. "Don't look at me, don't approach me, don't touch me and etc"

    • How do you expect to find someone if you have that look 24/7? Not you per se... but any woman?

    • I have it sometime without realizing it. Not every girl is going to have it. You just have been unlucky probably. Try the beach, museum and etc

    • Lol. Thanks for your opinion. I never have time to go to the beach (it's a 3-4 hour drive XD) and the museum is in the city (1-2 hours depending on traffic), and I live outside the city. So I try to do things within my means, since my car sucks. Tough life XD.

  • I never use that face.

  • Sometimes I do it without even realizing it!!! :(

    • Same here.

  • It doesn't mean anything. It's just how some of us naturally look.

  • Haha well I personally tend to have it and don't realize it, but then again I really don't wanna be approached lol

If you get this look after talking to her it means you said something she didn't like or she is just mean or in a bad mood
