Caught a cop getting a blowjob on duty. What to do?

Last week, me and my bf were on a road trip. While driving on a godforsaken road somewhere in kansas, we saw a young mother (in her late twenties I'd guess), blowing a cop behind his car while her son was waiting in her car, a couple of meters away. I guess she thought that no one would see it but well, cars move and it was pretty clear what was going on (almost no cars pass there so It could be we were the only ones who passed by in that time. My boyfriend slowed down, opened the window and asked the cop if he was enjoying his "job" (my bf hates cops). The cop just laughed, told the mother to keep going and my boyfriend to shut up and forget what he saw or he'd make sure we all got arrested. The mother was clearly panicking but the cop just pushed her back on her knees and she continued. Half a mile further we pulled over and waited for 5 minutes. The cop didn't pass but the mother did. She recognized our car I guess cause she immediately pulled over and started to talk to us. She said she felt really bad, has so much financial problems and really couldn't afford to pay the ticket and the cop persuaded her into doing that. She said she knew that was no excuse but she cried, asking us not to tell this to anyone. Not the cops and def not her husband. We went with her and her son to the closest road restaurant and bought her lunch trying to calm her and cheer up her son who had no idea what happened. I was shocked to see she was actually a nice woman and a good mother. Me and my bf first decided to keep quiet but now we are doubting if maybe we shouldn't report it. Even if it the mother asked us not to, I don't want to let this cop get away while he just destroyed the last of this weak woman's pride. If I do report it, I might ruin her marriage and get her in trouble. Also, we only have her identity and don't know the name or license plate of the officer. What are your thoughts or advise on what to do?

  • If you got the number off the car, DEFINITELY report that rapist.

    Because that's what you stumbled on.

    A guy with a gun and the power to use it exploited that mother under the threat of violence. He offered her a choice of stealing her money or her self respect.

    A thing like that has no business wearing a badge... or breathing. If you can help get him put in jail you should do it.

    3. The police will make your life a living hell if you decide to report it. They look out for each other and each and every interaction you'll have with the police from now will be negative.

    I'm not a fan of system cause I was stopped 8 times for no reason.

    • not recorded, she will probably not tell about it and yes, I know asking cops to arrest cops is probably a bad idea. I hate this abuse of power. I should have taken a picture of it but thought of it too late...

    He's abusing his position of authority. She's disgusting, and if she ends up getting divorced, she shouldn't have done that. That's cheating. I'm broke as a joke but I don't think I could ever blow a cop to get away from a ticket.
    They're both creepy. Who knows what else she'd do? I don't know. I never liked cheaters. I feel bad for her, but I feel more bad for her husband.

  • Leave it, without the cops plate numbers etc, it'll be hard, especially as this woman won't get involved.

  • You could report the cop if you have his badge number and patrol car number, but if the mom is not going to collaborate the story you are blowing smoke and if may lead to an investigation, or it may lead to nothing. If its some podunk town out in the middle of no where then good luck. Bigger cities are more worried about their public image and if there are cops taking advantage of women in that city then they will act.

  • well, too bad you did not have pictures, you could have had a "get out of jail free card." Still, you can report the cop, but if the woman does not back it up, it will be his word against yours. Guess who the other cops are going to believe.

  • Let it go. It's best to not stick your nose where it doesn't belong. Unless more women come forward after you out the guy and it becomes a media circus nobody will believe you with her statement. I video or a picture would have gone a long way.

    Make an anonymous report and DO NOT mention her name you will get her in trouble and do her more harm than good. Just mention the date, time and place where you 'saw' it.

    It sounds like that cop is definitely corrupt, so there's a good possibility the rest of that police district is.

  • The officer you described sounds like an abusive creep, he needs to see his ass in prison asap. What he did back there is completely illegal in so many ways. The officer was the individual in the position of power in this position, nothing (hopefully) will happen to the mother. If her husband is a halfway decent man, he well ought to be infuriated.

    -chances of succeeding to get the cop punished are low (cops get away with more than that)
    -chances of ruining her life are high: marriage ruined, cop taking revenge, reputation ruined.
