My ex used to do that to me. I liked it. But he loved my butt, so he'd kiss my ass cheeks and spank them too. Which I liked as well. He did this before we'd do anal. So it could be more lubricated and because he said he just loved my butt.
This wasn't part of our normal sex "routine" though. I never asked him, in fact, he'd be the one to ask me.
