My girlfriend slept with her step brother!

So I just found out my girlfriend slept with her step brother... Gross! it happened way before her and I started dating. Still though once I found out I lost respect for her, I lost alittle love toward her. I can't stop thinking about this. I cannot believe she would be so reckless. I find it very gross an see her differently now. I never would had expected her to be capable of doing such things. What should I do? This is driving me nuts.

Honestly, id leave her. It doesn't seem like such a big deal considering it was step and before they got married but its still not something pleasent to think of whenever you're at a family dinner with her family. Her brother & her sleeping together and you know you've slept with her? Kinda awkward right

They aren't really related by blood, so it isn't incestuous.
Also, it was in the past. Whatever your girlfriend does in the past, unless it's a criminal offence, should not affect your relationship now. Chill out.

Thank you, I'm glad some people don't see it as gross. I mean they're not related in any way so it's the same as sleeping with a girlfriend that you see every day. It just might be a little bit more risky.

That's a bit gross though. Are they step because their parents married and they were both children from different relationships, or do they share a parent?

It was before her stepfather an her mom got married. Her excuse was I never thought they were gonna get married though. I was thinking in my head. So that pretty stupid reason to just go on with it

... wow. It would be a little different if they had been seeing each other before their parents... but yeah, that's a bit gross. Thing is something like this is going to play on your mind. And it's not fair on you, this is clearly something that you don't agree with and can't deal with (in my eyes, rightly so), so I would seriously think about this and if you want to leave her. I know it's not an easy choice, but it sounds to be a dealbreaker for you.

It's not that gross if their parents weren't married at the time but it is definitely disturbing, knowing that she is not related to that guy. If you're not comfortable with it don't worry about if it's logical or not. The way you feel is extremely important. It might be acceptable for some people but if it bothers you, that's what matters.
