What does blue balls feel like?

  • People saying it is a myth are full of shit. It does happen, but way less frequently than guys would have you believe. Some guys do not experience it, but for some reason they think that because it doesn't happen to them, it doesn't exist.

    It is caused by vasocongestion of the testicles. It is basically like having menstrual cramps (which is also caused by vasocongestion), but in the testicles. It is a cramp-like pain in the balls, basically. And just like some women don't get crazy menstrual cramps, some guys won't get blue balls.

    But it generally takes a lot for the fluid to build up to the point that a failure to release will cause cramping. Giving a guy an erection, and not getting him off, is not going to be enough to cause it.

    If you want a scientific term to validate it, it is epididymal hypertension. The reason it gets called 'blue balls' is because the congestion is causing the blood to stay in the testicles too long. The blood is not getting oxygenated. Blood without oxygen is blue. So, the blood near the surface of the testicles starts taking on a blueish tinge.

    It is so weird how much misinformation there is about it. I guess because some guys don't feel it, and other guys play it up to try and get sex if they've been turned on. In general, the pain won't last long and is relatively minor unless there has been prolonged sexual stimulation without orgasm. If you are just making out and he pops a boner, he will live, lol. If you've been rubbing his crotch for an hour and then leave, he could very well end up in a large amount of discomfort. Without having testicles yourself, just try to imagine the guy having severe menstrual cramps in a dangling bundle of nerves. You will have a reasonable idea.

    Oh, and for your question directly, yes it hurts. And yes, I have gotten it, lol. Though not very many times. It takes a lot to get it to a 'painful' scenario.

  • I'm pretty sure it would be similar to what happens to girls.   • I had ball pain similar to blue balls, but not caused by the same reasons. Your testicles are like experiencing some internal earthquake and all it's nerves go haywire. I have to stop walking and weirdly stand still, thinking about something while the pain passes. It's like having some throbbing pain right at the balls and it lasted like 30 seconds to a minute for me lol. Worst pain ever

  • Blue balls are actually funny because it's not even your balls that hurt a lot, it's your lower abdomen inside. And it hurts. A lot. You can even feel nauseous from it if it's that extreme, haha. It happens if you get yourself too aroused and don't give yourself or get any kind of release. After release, you still feel sore for like 2-3 hours.

  • For me, it's a really dull achy "full" feeling in my balls and even up into the lower part of my body. It's not pleasant, but it's not the end of the world. I've never understood where the "blue" part came from. I don't know how anybody can tell their balls are blue because they're carried inside a sack.

  • Everything clenched and tightened up, sometimes with nausea like getting kick in the balls. Like a pressure valve that was never released and so instead it's just hemorrhaging the pipes inside. Not good at all.

    Better to release it and abstain, then to pump it up and hold it there. Just not something that needs to occur often.
