Why do girls prefer to see other girls nude?

So I help to manage two small strip clubs...1 is a regular female strip club, the other is a male strip club and they are located in the same building next to each other. Anyway, the one thing that shocked me at first... we often hire for servers (waitress/waiters) and girls that we hire as servers almost always prefer to work in the female strip club! Even girls who are 100% straight and are interested in men still prefer to work in the female strip club and be around other girls that are nude? Yet the guys that we hire almost always refuse to work in the male strip club unless it is a gay guy. Why is that? Why do girls that are completely straight still prefer to work in a female strip club and be around nude girls instead of working in a male club? Even when I ask the girls why, they just say they feel more comfortable being around nude girls even though they are straight. Why is this?

  • Because it feels safer. That's why! And because women are not scared of other naked female bodies, we feel very at ease around other naked women. From when we're young we are told female-female nudity is okay, nothing to be ashamed of as we all have the same body parts (they look different but they are the same).

    My question is why heterosexual male servers are so afraid to work in a male strip club (male strippers)? That's so weird to me. It's just another naked male body. You watch p*rn righjt, you see guys half naked there as well, especially their dicks are in your face. If you're comfortable with that, why should you be so uncomfortable around other naked men in real life? So weird..

    • Why are we uncomfortable? Because we are straight! We prefer to look at nude women not other guys! Why on earth would I want to be around a guy that's naked? That's why I can't understand why a straight female would prefer to be around nude women rather then guys.

    But I can honestly tell you that while I was reading your question I automatically thought "Oh yeah, that makes sense I would rather work in a female strip club too." That was just my first reaction..

    It has nothing to do with me wanting to look at women, I'm straight. I just know that I would feel more comfortable around naked women, rather than men. Which is a little odd if you think about it. But I know that being around naked men would make me feel extremely uncomfortable, even though I'm attracted to men. I wouldn't want to look at them anyways, I don't know why. I just wouldn't look.

    • Yeah, that's exactly it. I think I would feel more comfortable with naked women BECAUSE I have no interest in them. And I don't have to worry about them being interested in me. And being around ONE naked man in intimidating enough, let alone a room full of them. That's just uncomfortable and weird to me. I wouldn't be into it or anything. I would feel the opposite, really.

  • Personally I would feel more comfortable around a bunch of naked women than men, mainly because that is the body and parts I am most used to seeing (on myself). I also don't want my job to include seeing naked men and their parts all night, I don't think my boyfriend would be okay with that either.

    I also think about it this way, girl on girl action is a lot more socially acceptable than guy on guy action, a guy would be called gay for working at a male strip club, for girls it just doesn't really matter, not sure why that is though...

    • I wouldn't say mostly because its socially acceptable, for girls it doesn't matter, for me the only man I have ever seen naked is my boyfriend, I wouldn't be caught dead going to a male strip club or working at one, a bunch of random naked men is just not something I'm interested in seeing, but walk through any female locker room and you will see tons of naked women, its not like I am going to be staring at them they are just there, and I am more used to naked women than naked men.

  • Haven't checked out all the women's responses, but I'm surprised none of the guys brought up science.

    Evolutionary psych says: because women in the past have been raped, the ones who get excited / lubed up over any nakedness are the ones who'll suffer less damage.

    Plus, women are more likely to run into dudes in the female strip club, and since naked females turn them on (as much as naked males do), it's win-win. And, that's where the money's at.

    Women clientele are pickier, and aren't going to hit on the servers (too much). So not much advantage to the guy to work the male strip club.

  • male sexuality and being free to express that is generally oppressed. I don't think it's anyone's fault it's just women have been working on their rights for everything especially freedom of expression (includes sexual expression) and as men we don't "get to feel oppressed" so we end up left behind in many "human" rights that woman have made possible.

    I just want to add I'm all for equal rights I just think in Some situations men have been left behind.

    • While you raise some interesting points, I don't think this has as much to do with rights. Most guys I know are completely honest when they say they don't want to see another guy nude. I myself do not even want to see other guys nude unless I really needed to. But women generally have no problem seeing other girls nude. Yes I agree it is more acceptable for women to say that... but I don't think most men are lying when they say they don't want to see another guy naked.

    • Maybe as guys the only time we generally see another guy naked (short of being gay) is in the gym or during sports. As where many girls from what I understand feel free to change and be nude around other girls. you'll need a girl's point of view when it comes to why they don't want to work around naked men because the only one I can come up with is they are afraid.

  • Very easy.. the girls know they will get better tips working in the female strip club since there will be guys there and guys tip females better. Guys don't want to work in the male club because they are uncomfortable with seeing other guys naked… it is the same stereotype where girls can see each other naked and go to the bathroom together and no one questions their sexual orientation where as for guys they would.

  • I'd be choose to work in the female strip
    club too. The reason being that because I am also female, I'm used to seeing female anatomy. I won't get flustered or distracted while working, so I'll be able to do my job better.

    • Pretty much. I'm desensitized to that stuff, seeing it doesn't phase me. If I were around the indecent males I'd be flustered and distracted, I wouldn't say 'turned on' though. When I get a job, I don't go in so I can have fun and stare at things, I go in so I can be precise, focused, and effective in my work no matter what it may be. It only makes sense to go for a position with minimal distractions.

  • Personnally, it has nothing to do with attractiveness. It's just we feel more confortable around each other because we have the same body.
    And it's the same with men/women toilets. Men are confortable to be around each others to pee. Once I came in the men toilets by mistake and all the guys face went red.

  • Well, it could be for multiple reasons. One is that the girl may feel like a pervert or like people will treat her like a pervert if she works in the male strip club; another could be that it may feel creepy to have multiple guys flashing her their stuff every night; or if she has a boyfriend/husband she may feel that they wouldn't like her working in a male strip club, so she goes with the female one instead. They could also have their own reasons that are none of these. the possibilities are endless!

    Male patrons in female strip clubs (most likely straight) are more likely to tip a female server than male patrons at a male strip club (most likely gay). Female patrons at a female strip club (most likely lesbians) are also more likely to tip female servers than female patrons at male strip clubs (most likely straight).

  • Women aren't afraid of being sexually coerced or pressured by women. They have a natural fear of sexual men.

    Men to be honest are the same way. They aren't afraid of women. They might feel uncomfortable if they're walking down an alley alone and a gay man cat calls them. It's not that men are homophobic or women are lesbians. It's that female sexuality is very rarely -threatening-.

    Beyond that I have to think a reasonably hot women would make far better tips in the female strip club than the male.

    Women have learned to repel men in a sense. They generally get that attention and gaze from men which can become annoying and they are just taught by society to repel a lot of male sexual advances. It's similar to why a male is much less likely to feel uncomfortable nude in front of a female doctor while women will often request a female doctor. It's really a complicated topic.
