Why do teenage guys think rape is funny?

Whenever I'm at school boys are always telling girls, "I'm gonna rape you in your sleep." And then, when my teacher was talking about rape in class. The guys started laughing and was like, "it ain't rape if she likes it," then I said. "What female would like to be raped?" He replied, the ones raped by me. Then, him and his friends started laughing and hi fived each other. Then, I said "guys get raped too," then he says. No, they're just fags.

I think some of them get it confused with rough sex and think it's cool.
They're just dumb.
I'm pretty sure some of them wouldn't actually rape anybody.
I had these friends in high school who would sometimes "playfully" throw me against the wall acting dumb.
But when some other douche tried touching me weird knowing I didn't like it they got super pissed and called him a rapist and stuff.
So yeah, some are just dumb and joke to stroke their ego
But some also joke and probably would to it too.

Because they always seem to get away with it. The girl is always told "you could have said no. You control the situation. He couldn't help himself. Boys only do what you allow them to do". Etc. They rape so many innocent teenage girls and get away with it so often, because somehow the girl was suppose to "control the boy's choice of actions". Rape is not about dominance or power! Of the hundred (yes, hundreds) of female teachers who rape 13 year old boys, how many do you think do it for power! The priest who molest little boys, don't do it for power. The fraction of actual aggressive rape, isn't about power either, it's about sex and a lack of mental filters that tell normal people right from wrong. It's NOT about dominance! That's why I get worked up. It annoys me that this misinformed idea of power and dominance keeps getting thrown around. It has nothing to do with that. I know more men who have been falsely accused of rape and had it destroy their lives, than I know women who were actually (aggressively raped). It angers me that innocent males have their lives destroyed by this ever growing definition of "rape", to the point where every action they make needs to be recorded by them so they can verify that some asinine action hasn't been misconstrued by a vengeful female in an attempt to gain power, get revenge, or for some other reason destroy his life for some selfish reason. Yes real rape happens, and it is horrible. I obviously don't condone it. But it seems like false accusation get swept under the rug like they don't happen and there isn't harsh punishments for females making those accusations.

I am listening, but I am not going to marginalize rape by saying something so narrowly minded. You say the majority of real rape goes unpunished because girls are afraid to come forward, but that is an assumption. The same logic can be applied to males being raped and being afraid to come forward. Yes real rapist should be burned at the stake. They are monsters. They have sick fucked up minds. But that goes back to it not being about power or dominance. It shows that they are mentally screwed up. The "Elliot Rodger" idea of someone being angry at the world and taking it out on PEOPLE is again showing a mentally unstable person. This is why he killed men and women. But he didn't rape any of them. In Ontario, Russell Williams raped and murdered two women, not for power. He did it because he was messed up in the head. He showed no sign of compassion for human life. So again, not power or dominance. I can list many cases of real rape, none were about power or dominance.

And some without even knowing that they're raping the girl, because they are unaware of what boundaries there are in terms of having sex with someone.
