Why is it that a lot of women claim to be straight yet enjoy lesbian p*rn?

I know there are some guys who claim to be straight but watch gay p*rn , but I've noticed that it's more frequent with girls/women. Why is that? How can they insist on being fully straight or straight at all if they watch lesbian p*rn and enjoy it? I'm not being homophobic or anything, I'm fine with the LGBT community, I just find it contradictive to say that you're one thing but then act and do things that would say the opposite.

Watching lesbian p*rn doesn't make you a lesbian. Does watching hetero p*rn make you bisexual, no. A lot if people like lesbian p*rn just because they think it's kinkier that straight p*rn (the idea of two girls just seems really cool and uncharted I some). so it's like when people posts pictures of girls smoking, they don't actually like smoking they just think it looks cool.

  I don't need to read it because most animals (that have can have sex for pleasure) will have it with any gender. Pan sexuality, bisexuality and other forms of several gender attraction are extremely normal and make the most sense to me. This nt just for women but for men to. I also do know some girls who like lesbian p*rn because sometimes it seems romantic and sensual. Where as Hetero p*rn can be rough, brutal, and sometimes just seem rude which is a turn off to some @amphet11

  Didn't say it wasn't normal, but you can't claim to be straight. And that research (which is peer reviewed and scientifically sound) as well as my empirical knowledge says that men are gun barrel straight, a women needs to be present for human male arousal, women are pansexual, men are heterosexual (if you don't believe me read the research)

  What i mean is the male default is heterosexual ( of course there are gay men who are sexually repulsed by women) while the female default is pan sexual, although most women think they are straight as female sexuality is more based on emotions and they are emotionally only attracted to men.

  No, male and female sexuality is very different, it is shown that lesbian women are such and have a sexuality like a straight man, while "straight" women are pan sexual. Almost all men need a women in the picture to experience arousal, while women have an indiscriminate nature towards arousal.

They probably enjoy it because they think it's hot. It's a fantasy, it doesn't mean they're actually lesbian or they want to be with a girl in real life. Fantasy =/= reality. Lesbian and gay p*rn doesn't appeal to me though.

What really gets me is all these people who are against homosexuality, saying it's wrong and sinful and all that, but yet they're perfectly fine watching two girls get it on. So hypocritical.

Watching something and wanting to experience something are two different things. I like to watch people's videos of them skydiving because it looks cool, however I would never actually want to go skydiving myself. So, watching lesbian p*rn is one thing, but actually wanting to have sex with a girl is another thing.

  Anything with a women in that doesn't involve a man doing sexual acts to a man. Women can watch male on male and be straight, but if the gender that is required for you to meet a orientation isn't present, but you still get aroused, then you aren't that orientation (a women that get's aroused by two members of her own gender having sex isn't heterosexual).

  I generally try to avoid arguments with idiots, but since you insist... The article you cited does, indeed, show that women are physically aroused by both male and female pornographic stimuli. It does not, however, prove that said women are bisexual, as you so simply put it. Physical, genital arousal does not equal sexuality. A woman may be aroused by female P*rnography , without being inclined to engage in sexual behaviour with another female. Likewise, heterosexual males may be aroused by homosexuality stimuli, which does not necessarily make them anything except heterosexual. Don't twist scientific journals to fit your own biased arguments.

  Having a want to do it in real life is not where the line is drawn, And heterosexual males weren't turned on by (male) homosexuality at all, then they wouldn't be straight. These aren't even my words, the top anthropologists agree that "straight" women are pan sexual while men are actually heterosexual, it isn't only my conclusion, the anthropology and cognitive sciences faculties agree with me.

  Once again, genital response does not equal sexuality. A woman can become physically aroused and even orgasm during sexual assault and rape. That doesn't mean she's enjoying it, but that it is a physiological response to a sensation. There is no reason, and no part of that article, that specifically says women who identify as heterosexual, but have a measured physical response to homesexual stimulus, are lying.

  In the research women where aroused by a naked women (no sexual act) and had no response to a naked man, that seems pretty non straight to me, The conclusion that was drawn by dr chivers was that to simply label women bisexual was an injustice to the complexities of female sexuality, no matter what conclusion you draw from that sentence, it still means they aren't straight. Remember romantic attraction and what you want to do in real life doesn't mean anything towards sexual orientation. There are other studies, i did two years of elective anthropology and trust me that the stance of the faculty is that women aren't straight, many say that the most accurate thing would be to say women don't really have a sexual orientation. The only thing people can say for certain is that the default for women is not strict heterosexuality and most would be a 2 on the kinsey scale, while men would be a 0.

Funnily enough, I'm educated in medicine, which means that I know a fair bit about physiological and psychological responses to various stimuli and events. Yes, I have arguments against you. I tend to watch regular man and woman p*rn , but sometimes I think lesbian p*rn is good for when you want it to be more sensual - maybe because they're women, sometimes it's more gentle, and they can't help but show how much they're enjoying it. Women tend to gasp more :P

I watch it because lesbians know how female orgasms feel like and know how to get/give one.
