My new bf has a circumsiced penis and I'm unhappy. Am I wrong to feel this way?

I just found out that my new bf has had circumcision. I almost wanted to break down in tears. I feel so bad that his parents mutilated his body and made what could have been a beautiful penis an ugly and less sensitive one. My last 3 partners were all uncut and I was able to bring them to climax during blowjobs with my hands on their foreskin, but now I feel like I have to do so much more work to please this man and he's going to think less of me for it.   • Well TECHNICALLY, you're absolutely right, his parents made a COMPLETELY IGNORANT decision without his consent and altered his body almost permanently and forever with absolutely no respect for his future sexual health.

    However, the one who would have to feel unhappy about it is him - considering it's him who has had a part of him taken from him.

    But it is also worth noting that he is still capable of climaxing and the like, the key difference is that without the foreskin, it's just hella lot more difficult (handjobs need lube because your hand causes the "friction" for stimulation that the foreskin would be responsible for, for example), and also due to the increased friction and that his glans becomes dried out (desensitivization is secondary in this regard), there is indeed a chance that sexual activity will be less enjoyable for *you*.

    So overall, what truly matters is whether he would want to restore his foreskin back to its original state, but that takes about... 3 years of foreskin restoration, according to what I've read. Even after 8 months there are results, but 3 years is a specific number that I've seen in order to make a complete recovery.

    ""it provides protection against STDs"" even though that's insignificant and they do it in Africa because they can't afford condoms,
    ""it reduces risk of infections"" even though it's linked more to personal hygiene than to whether you have a foreskin or not (Europeans aren't getting infections every single day, you are totally doing something extremely wrong),
    ""it looks better"" even though a part of his natural body is missing,
    ""it feels better"" even though it's more of a hassle and pain for both.

    But he has to make the decision to restore himself, he has to realize what is missing from him.

  • Yes, it's very sad that some people feel it's necessary to cut of pieces of the body when there's usually nothing wrong with it to begin with. Very strange indeed.

    • It is sad. I think he feels bad about it too. I reacted negatively towards it when I found out and he seemed embarrassed.

    • It's like cutting off your earlobe or a piece of your nose because "why not?" I would feel very offended if my parents did such a thing without my consent as a child. Circumcision desensitises a lot and for no good reason, sad indeed.

    • Ummmm... Shows you don't know the purpose of the foreskin. The whole point of it is to protect the penis, keep it from drying out, and reduce the friction so that less lubrication would be sufficient for the same activity. Circumcision CAN be a handicap in sexual activity.

  • This is the first time that I have ever seen someone so distraught over their BF having a different kind of penis.   • There are many opinions on this subject, from angles of pleasure, health, appearance, etc. But many of the OPINIONS are being stated as FACTS, and that is why things are confusing.

    Circumcision exists mainly for religious reasons and those that are non-religious follow suit because it has become common in their culture. But why is it there in religion. One can believe that a supreme being dictated it so, or that mortals recognized health reasons and wrote it down as "religious inspiration". Same with things like a woman being unclean during her period, don't eat certain foods, etc. But the foreskin did capture and hold dirt and disease. Since then, we have learned to pull it back and clean well to avoid those, but often guys don't (it is really hard on some guys). So circumcision makes it easier an one does not have to put in the effort at cleaning. That is reasonable.

    As for pleasure, good grief what a crock is being spilled. A guy can grab hold and move his hand up and down, The loose skin on the shaft will slide up over the head providing stimulation without much friction, so he gets pleasure and no lube is needed. NONE!

    The head of the penis touches clothes a lot during the day. Can't say it seems desensitized in the least. It feels great and provides absolutely mind-blowing orgasms. Lots of medical material provide info on how the exposed head actually gets better "attention" and provides wonderful pleasure.

    • You are assuming there is loose skin left. "Tight circumcision" removed that completely. Also, the "easier to keep clean" argument is incorrect, if you have leftover foreskin, you will still need to retract it to wash it. Which means you got no benefit in that regard. You only get diseases if you don't shower for like a week or two on a regular basis, and leave the pee residue on your penis after peeing rather than using toilet paper. Females would be getting yeast infections all the time if they didn't use toilet paper as well...

  • Do you know that circumcision is actually healthy? the skin that is removed from the penis gathers with time lot of bacteria inside which can cause serious infections, so you should feel lucky that he has a circumcision :)

    • Misinformation. You can take a shower and ta-dah this problem you mentioned is removed. Washing under the foreskin takes a total of 10-15 seconds, which isn't much if you consider the amount of time it takes to wash your hair, your body, or brush your teeth, etc.
