  Yea, I've done that. I knew my ex hated it, so I just did it to be funny. But this new guy I'm talking to says it gets him off, and the idea of doing it makes me feel slightly manly. I want to please him, but I have a weird feeling about it. I'm usually so open. Why do I feel this way?

  Not sure, maybe because it's such a turn around from what you're used to with your ex? Also there is a bit of a role reversal thing going on there, it is usually her enjoying him playing with and sucking her nipples. When you say the idea of it makes you feel manly, is that a good feeling? Maybe at least to start with, you want feel more womanly and be the one having your nipples lovingly attended to? It sounds like you haven't slept with this guy at all yet anyway, so what's the hurry? There's no reason you can't take things a bit more 'vanilla' to start with then bring in other stuff as you go along. It's better to do that anyway, a bit like on Christmas Day when it's better to pace yourself and enjoy the first gifts you open for a while before going on to the next ones, rather than charging in, opening everything all at once and then having no more surprises left for the rest of the day...

  Whilst we are on the subject if you don't mind my asking, when you used to torment your ex, was it purely because you thought it was funny, or was there anything sexual in it for you at all?   I don't think I enjoy feeling manly. I like feeling in control. I think I also don't like it just because I had this one bad sexual experience where the guy told me to suck his nipples, and he was very skinny, skinnier than me, and he moaned like a girl. I could get over it if I was in love with him, but it was an uncomfortable, almost hostage situation, which is even more strange, because I felt like a man during it. See? Manly and in control are very different. I think one reason why girls might like doing it for fun when you don't like it, is because you don't like it, so the vulnerable element isn't there, so we can enjoy power without being a man. It's slightly sadistic. Or, and this is a bit out there, we like to subconsciously imagine that we're with another woman. I've done that consciously, but only with people who weren't really into it. I'm not sure if it's lesbian guilt that makes me feel weird doing it to someone who enjoys. But I'm very open in my thoughts and sexuality.

  I totally agree that feeling in control is not the same as whether you think you are playing a manly role in bed or not. And you can be in control on either side of nipple play, the fact that my wife grabs my hair and shoves my mouth onto her nipple if I tease for too long leaves me as to no doubt who's calling the shots when we do it... I can see why a guy moaning with pleasure as you play with his nipples might just be a bit weird to see as well I thought there might be a bit of a power thing that goes along with it, she does like a bit of a power struggle, playfully fighting over who gets to be boss this time, that would seem to fit with that. I know you were the one supposed to be asking the question but thanks for your insight on that.
