Maybe he's not completely sure about his sexuality. Even if he says he's 100% and that's just an experience, he's lying and making up an excuse because there's no way a 100% straight person would want to have sex with someone of the same sex just because.

Maybe he was "bicurious". Sexuality is more of a spectrum that three discreet labels of straight, gay, and bi.
No, there was no guy, no opportunity. He said IF the opportunity came up where he was attracted to another man and the man was attracted to him and there was chemistry, then he would not rule out the possibility of sex because "sex with a man is just another experience to have", his words.
