Am I the only one who suspects pedophiles on this website?

I've noticed that when a lot of Under 18 girls post in the Sexual Behavior Topics, men over 35 will be the most commented group of men. It disgusts me reading something a man over 35 sent to an underage girl asking something sexual. I've also seen a lot of pedophile related questions and its disgusting. Why don't you guys get help instead of use this website? You could be a danger to someone. It's no laughing matter. Am I the only one who notices this? Is anyone else annoyed by it?

I understand. I apologize, but now you know what I mean. If its an educational question about like sexual health, then yeah thats alright. But if a young girl is asking something dirty and sexual, I hope there aren't older men feeding into that and messaging her in order to reciprocate. I think older men, 35+ especially should be finding other things to do with their time.

  • I try to be straight factually informative about sex related questions with under 18s. To be honest I don't comment that much on 'mechanics' questions which are pretty straight forward, more on how sex fits ito relationships. If they're not active I try to answer in future tense and mention 'as you get older' type caveats. If they're mid-late teens and active that's acrually pretty normal and I might try to just give good helpful advice.

    I try not to rate under 18s. I will sometimes try to reassure under 18s who wonder if they are too ugly to date that their looks are fine or even good and I'm sure that's not the problem.

    You will notice I say 'try' because I'm sure I've slipped up on those unofficial rules and where it's been most dramatic it's when I haven't noticed the QA age before submitting an answer. That hasn't happened in a while, and happens less using phone. The old website design there was some feed where you could see questions but not ages. I would read te question then click on it to answer. I'd then immediately answer and not notice the age.

  • I don't see giving people under age advice about sexual things as pedophelia. A lot of people are just trying to help. And pedophelia has to do with young children so anyone 18+ can commit it, not just men 35+. That's pretty sexist to imply this is exclusive to men. I agree pedophelia is a bad thing, but it sounds like you're unsure what it is and are pointing blame at many people with good intentions.

    • I understand this for sexual health, but I have seen a few guys on here (and sorry, but it's usually guys) give blowjob tips and what not to 15 year olds. I understand that they're curious, but as adults we have to look at that and think "this is probably not appropriate to answer." I always put it this way: If you were 40, and had a 15 year old daughter... and she asked your 40 year old friend how to give head, would you want him/her to respond? For the record, I think it's gross/wrong when anyone answers these questions. They're not even allowed on the site for under 18ers. People should just report them and move along.

    • @CommieDearest I don't think it's fair for her to direct pedophelia exclusively at males though, especially over 35, while assuming she knows their intentions for something like telling a 16 what a bj feels like. That's not pedophelia and anyone over 18 has the same legal responsibility to it. A lot of times when I answer questions I don't notice their age. And it's not like we ever really know real age for sure. I mean it's not verified. Plus they can just as easily search the site or the rest of the internet and read the same thing. If the person intented to help I wouldn't care if they are 14, 40 or 110. I do understand why people feel uncomfortable with the taboo though. I would love to be able to filter out under 18 though if they allowed it to avoid people with these opinions. And I wrote such a better response that got eaten when I turned anon off :/ Really took away from what I was thinking

  • This is the internet, there are creepy people like that in all corners of the web. That's to be expected. The true definition of pedophilia though is an adult who is sexually attracted to pre-pubescent children, which would be children *typically* under 12. Under 13 users are not allowed on this site. My point is, just because you see someone over a certain age commenting on an under 18 post, doesn't mean that person is a pedophile.

    However, if you see questions pertaining to pedophilia (such as an adult asking something sexual in regards to a child), you should report them as "explicit." Also, under 18 users are not allowed to ask "how to" sexual questions so if you see questions like that, it should be reported as "adult content."

  • Well pedophilia refers to children who haven't gone through puberty yet. So if she is around 16 and apparently having sex with someone else, she is not a child in that sense.
    Though I do agree older men seem to haven an obsession with young girls

    An occasionally there are other questions that sounded much like that. Like guy asking where to find women that look like children. And another guy asking why women can't be more like that girl in a video, who despite being an adult, had little boobs or waist and acted like a child. That kind of question makes you go WTF

  • Yes, I'm sure there are. There have been questions about dating someone older/younger and there have been old men commenting that they would date 15 year old girls. It's kinda scary.

    And to the commenters: the Asker specifically said "man over 35" so no, if you're 18 she's not calling you a pedo.
    Also, it doesn't matter if the young girl is the one approaching YOU and sending YOU pictures. She is underage and not a legal adult. YOU are the adult, and you should be mature enough to say NO to her.

I'd honestly never been so upset and shocked and disgusted by the internet... and the worst part is, not only was he totally serious a bunch of other men jumped into defend him and trashed me.. not one person stood up for me, even after I shared details about my background. I was literally borderline in tears I was so upset and disgusted and its really scary that men could be that primal

  • There are some straight up creeps on here of all ages, but the over-35 and under-18 ones are by far the worst. I saw one the other day, and obviously I won't blow anyone's spot up, but some under 18 girl posted a pretty explicit question that I removed anyway since it was designed to illicit a crude response, but an over 35 guy left an absolutely disgusting response. I wish we could just send the authorities straight over to their homes, haha.

    A pedophile is into prepubescent children.
    A hebophile is into pubescent children around 11-14.
    An ephebophile is into "middle to late adolescents", 15-19.
    Consult the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) for the formal definitions.

  • I'm very careful about what I say to underage posters. I have accidentally complimented an underage girl by not checking the age before I replied.

    On the flip side, I've had under age girls message me and ask me if I thought they were hot.
