What does being a tease mean?

I'm rather sexually inexperienced but some guy once told me I'm a tease. Which sounds pretty good, except that I don't know what it actually means. What does a girl usually do to be considered a tease? Is it something good?

it means the guy isn't getting the type of sex he desires as fast as he wants it from you
so this is another means to manipulate you into giving it faster

It's not really good. Like you're deliberately trying to lead guys on sexually. I've been called that before and I didn't like it because I wasn't even trying to be a tease.

It's not a good thing. It implies that you dangle things in front of men, be they physical or otherwise, and then aren't remotely inclined to follow through even though that was the implication.

  Yes I know. I do say thank you if he does something nice. And I sometimes ask guys to do stuff that would make them feel big and strong, so their egos would be stroked.

  Ah, and the truth finally rears its head. I think you should set boundaries for yourself. Do what you feel comfortable with. It seems to me that you're using physical intimacy as a means of keeping someone around instead of your sparkling personality. Relationships that start off that way don't usually last long.

  Yeah it's just that if I like him, I would also want to get real close quickly. But like I said, I don't want to seem easy, so I thought ok, groping and making out on the first date is fine, but no fingering or handjobs or anything
