It's not a matter of being "stupid" as you said. Humans have desires, that's in our nature. Do you think people would have sex even married if they could get pregnant at all time? Not everybody want 20 kids. So people would use the pull out method probably. As for abortion, when it was illegal in France, women would abort illegal and often at their home. They often hurt themselves and it was a huge health problem. Women even died of it. We didn't always have abortion or birth control. It's not just about casual sex. Even married people need birth control.
Haha you know the baby boomers in the 40's? Yeah it would probably be like that. and basically what it was like before birth control was invented in the 60's, some people can control themselves some can't , but there would definatly be an increase in population which would not be good for our already suffering world.
The baby boom was for lack of a better word, deliberate - the world had just come out of ten years of depression followed by six years of war. Everyone wanted to build a better life and start a family. The Pill might be from the 60s but plenty of other methods of birth control existed before.
I think doctors might be more lenient towards tubal ligation in young females.
I think we would have to redesign our social structures a lot their would be a huge influx of unwanted babies greater need of adoption, foster homes etc . History tells us humans have sex no matter what it's hard wired into us. I think for countrys like mine (Canada) that can't maintain its current population without immagration a domestic baby boom would be a good thing. My opinion humans are as a whole hyper-sexual and we have little success around controlling urges to reproduce (even if you think it's just sex)
I think cigarettes will be more expensive and for good reason too.
Also maybe people dying might not be a big deal or something I don't know.
