So I've been thinking , hearing much tale... well... seeing much too in fact now I'm in a dorm. 
Casual sex and "one night stands" are a pretty common thing. 

This got me thinking... how does it happen?
What is people thinking?

So people are just walking around feeling horny , they see someone they like so they decide to make a hotdog together?

Is there some application form I have to fill in?

I thought the Sims series were joking about how relationships works but as an observer jesus christ , the sims are getting REALLY uncanny.

When it happened with me, I went over his house to "watch movies" but I think we both felt the sexual tension (he was a tatted model after all). That tension built up when were snuggling and we kissed, then clothes came off and walah - it happened. I don't think about it much and sometimes I can't believe it happened.

Honestly, I wasn't horny, it was more for the experience and I wasn't thinking much about it. If I did think much, I would've backed out. It was just a lot of nervous adrenaline and my main concern was the use of a condom which he wisely did.

I guess it's just people being horny and curious, especially if it's in college/uni. Also I guess peer pressure could have something to do with it in some cases.

I don't mind one night stands, as long as both partners are honest that it is a one night stand and not leading to something more (and trust me I've had cases of guys putting on a whole show of how I totally amazed them and want to now be with me. And then they never called. - ok I don't know why i'm speaking in plural, 1 of 2 one night stands that i've had in my life turned out like that).

What I find kind of I don't know what word should I use... disturbing? Or I don't know, what bothers me more is that since I started university/college, everyone seems to only be looking for one night stands and hookups. It's almost like.. is there even any hope for such a thing as a relationship to start during like college years?

I don't and never have done one nighters. I have, and am, however, a fan of casual sex. My first fuck buddy was my neighbor, and had about six of us on the side. He taught me some good things, but when it was time to move on we did.

You're out in a club or bar (or maybe a party), you see someone really really cute. They seem to think you're really cute too. You're both consenting adults, why not enjoy yourselves? It could be argued that "all this courtship business? Pretending not to be interested and waiting to make moves, what are you thinking? You both want the same thing, why dance around the subject?"

Try going to parties and see what happens. If no girls come to you, go to them.

About my answer, well I guess that boils down to one of our most important human needs: LOVE AND BELONGING. Okay, so one night stands and spontaneous sex are not really acts of love, but they provide this sense of belongingness that both men and women want. We have tons of reasons, loneliness, anger, sexual attraction towards that person, but even with no sexual attraction, people still engage to this. Why? Because that one night, or half an hour, or even 20 minutes, that brief moment human interaction of someone holding you, you feeling warmth and needed, that is something innate to us humans, we want to be needed.
