I dream about having amazing sex, but never had sex in real life?

Question

I'm 24, still a virgin technically & I've only had 1 serious relationship that only lasted 4 months. That ended about 8 months ago... lately, I've been having dreams where I'm with a guy (my high school crush even though it would never happen in real life) & we're together (like relationship together) & we "make each other happy" by doing oral & fingers & stuff...& he asks me if I want to go further & even though I'm hesitant (especially with what happened in my past), I say yes & he goes real slow & makes sure I'm doing OK & I am...& we go all the way until we both orgasm...& it didn't hurt that bad & we both enjoyed it...& then we cuddle & fall asleep & that's prolly the best part, apart from orgasming lol :) ;)

How the hell can I have a dream like that... if I've never done it in real life? How can I crave/miss getting worked up when I know that (if I get another guy), I'm going to have to wait a hell of a long time BC I don't want a repeat of my last relationship?

Am I seriously screwy in the head? :(

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience in the past... I hope that's not what is stopping you from having a wonderful, fulfilling sex life.
From the sounds of it you have 'expectations' of what it should be like and most people have orgasmed before they have sex. Some of us even find the orgasm during sex no where near as intense as during masturbation or dreams. (depends what you are into) You were probably having a real orgasm during that dream (did you know women don't need to touch themselves to come? We just need to pulsate the right muscles.)
Who told you it will hurt? I feel like you shouldn't put that kind of responsibilty in someone elses hands. ITS YOUR BODY. Buy a dildo and some toys and learn to relax about sex. I technically lost my virginity that way, 16 year old me found it absolutely compelling that a girl's virginity meant anything, I wanted my first time to be incredible... not nervous and fearful.
Unless you have a condition, sex should never hurt. Your vagina is delicate, but not as delicate as society makes you think it is.

PS. Why not talk to that crush of yours? ;) You are a sensual woman, you can achieve anything you like in the bedroom.

You're body knows what it's capable of and the feelings are available to you now, just without the intimacy of a partner. I'm assuming intimacy is something you have experienced though, not sexual but loving. You are just dreaming of something totally natural and obviously what your body wants at this moment. I dream of flying and falling and I can really feel how it feels, the wind and the dipping in my stomach as I turn and twist in the air. Getting disorientated when I do loop da loops. The brain is incredible and capable of imagining up amazing things for us.

No you're not screwed in the head. Sex dreams are natural it happens to everyone. I used to be like you when I was 16. That's all I ever dreamed about. I remember asking a question on isitnormal. com and people would tell me I was horny and that I needed to get laid. Well guess what I'm 21 and still a virgin and I don't even dream about sex daily anymore. It's just a phase some people go through I think lol. It could mean that you're turned on before going to bed or you're thinking about sex a lot too. But who knows haha. :P

study shows that when a human is a wake... the brain functions at 10% maximum only... but when asleep it's higher... so most of the time whenever we dream it's like a reality... the emotion, feel and sometimes even the smell or taste...
