Why does my boyfriend call me his "sweet little baby"?

When my boyfriend is holding me close to him sometimes he'll say in a soft voice "are you my sweet little baby?" or "you're my perfect little baby" Why does he call me his "little baby" ? is this a creepy fetish thing or is it just because I'm 9 inches shorter than him?

I would say something like that to my gf no matter what size she was. Its not a fetish or anything, guys just sometimes like to say things like that, because they like to be the "protector" and the one to care for u.

It's just a term of endearment. I wouldn't attach any more meaning to it than that. The height difference likely plays a role.

Baby is a common pet name, the little part does sound a bit off but there is a height difference, so I get it. Could be worse, he could call you his big baby : /
