Truthfully, I don't even know what or how I feel "down there" when I'm wet/horny... Obviously I'm wet, it feels like how a girl would feel just after peeing without wiping herself. Yes, that wet. Or at least with me. It doesn't hurt me or anything, I don't feel as if I'm throbbing or that I need to masturbate. I just feel a tad wet down there, but the moment can pass very quickly if I think about something else.
I don't know, I'm a very strange 18yr old girl. :-) I can change my body and how I feel so easily!
But anyway, like I said, I just feel a bit wet down there and maybe a bit "heavy" but the moment can pass very quickly if I want it too. No big deal.

There is swelling from increased blood flow and tingling along with the lubrication. I'd imagine it feels very similar.

That's how it feels for me anyway. I'm a bit surprised by girls saying they don't feel anything. It takes longer for a female to get fully aroused, so that might be part of it. You'd be surprised how many women don't know anything about their own bodies and how they work.

It doesn't every time & with every couple, but it's definitely not a myth. An erection happens much faster than full on genital swelling & lubrication. It's not unusual to start sex before full arousal, and to continue the process while still building it, though.

Which is why sometimes deep thrusting isn't always easy at the beginning, as well, because the vagina also gets a bit differently shaped when a girl is super turned on. The vagina is usually a little wet by nature, so penetration is possible without full arousal, unlike trying to shove in a halfie...

Weirdly, though, a girl can be turned on mentally, but not get wet, too. This happens due to hormonal changes, long sex sessions and dehydration, to think of a few. So the other parts still happen, but lube may be necessary to not have painful friction.
