Why do some guys think that girls dont masturbate?

I remember when I was back in 9th or 8th grade my guy friends would talk about girls and then say something about masturbation and I would come into the conversation and disagree with them. They always act so surprised and one guy said that he didn't believe me and that it's impossible. I don't understand, how can you know about sex and know that females have a sex drive but think that they dont masturbate. It would make sense for 6th graders to think this but by 8th to 9th grade you would've already had sex ed. Does masturbation just seem so non feminine to the point where it looks like all girls stay virgins til marriage, and only have sex to procreate and don't have pleasure at all?

1) at your age guys have no clue how women work. we just know we want to have sex with them. so they really don't put any thought into what you might or might not do.
2) Women do not talk about it. Most women pretend they don't want sex and never would be caught dead masturbating. when in reality they go at it more then men. Plus women have so many playthings that work for them. Men only have "fleshlight". While is is ok, it is not the same as a real vagina.

Although I don't agree with most masturbating more than men because we wouldn't know unless there was statistics which wouldn't be realastic anyway since like you said a lot don't like to talk about it, but other than that I agree with you more than most opinons

This is because a lot of women insist that they don't or avoid the topic altogether. If sex gets brought up many girls flee the conversation with the "I'm not a slut" mentality. Basically girls in general avoid the sex talk so much that it gives guys the impression they'ere so avoidant of sex that they don't get involved in anything.

I think we're just not as open about it, and we're not known for our sex drives the way guys are, so it comes across like that. I know for me, it's very rare I discuss masturbating. I do it often, but I don't casually talk about it.

Yeah I've come across some people that seem to think all women have low sex drives and shit like that or that female masturbation just doesn't exist... it's completely stupid.

The thing is that the majority of girls don't admit that they masturbate, at least they don't say it face to face, so it leads young teenagers to believe that they don't masturbate. Also, it's believe it's not "ladylike", hell, even some girls don't masturbate because they believe it's something ladies don't do, which is stupid, because like you say, they also have sexual drive, and need to pleasure themselves.

I agree that it's stupid for a guy to assume a girl is less likely to masturbate than a guy, but I think most guys in middle school are just not used to hearing girls be open about sexuality and masrurbation, whereas guys will joke around pretty openly about jerking off, but girls don't typically do that. And some guys use the denial as a reverse psychology to get girls to admit it, advocate for it and "prove them wrong" if you would. That's been my experience.

Because they don't admit it when they're young and also all stereotypes portray men to masturbate. That's why I thought so when I was 12. I learned the truth one year later when a girl in my class said that she does it

I think its because guys at that age are immature and don't really get it. Im guessing that they haven't had sex ed yet. I've always have known that girls masturbate. Masturbation is definitely for both sexes, hell i live in a dorm and hear girls masturbating in the middle of the night.

One guy I met thought it was actually impossible for women to masturbate.
I guess that this happens because the image that the media feeds us is of women having little sex drive, and the ones that do are sluts.

Most women don't actually masturbate because they see it as boring and pointless. And the ones that do rarely do it as frequently as guys unless they have neurological problems.

Basically the reason is that women are not visually stimulated, therefore they have nothing to get stimulated by while masturbating. Men however are visually stimulated and can watch p*rn while masturbating, that gives far more meaning to the act.
