My husband has made a similar comment that I blew off as being sarcastic. He had said they smell good after I had been working. Feet do have pheromones, and pheromones are what turn men (and women) on. So that may explain it. I take very good care of my feet, better than most people. I keep them soft, clean, and pedicured. Even still, after working in my flats all day they can't help but smell. I hate it and it sucks and it's embarrassing. I make sure I wash them and massage lotion into them when I come home from work. I don't think it's a fetish more than just being in tune with pheromones of the opposite sex...
I don't think you should be embarrassed about it, even if you think they smell awful, a lot of men (like me and your husband) would probably think they smell amazing and actually love the smell of your feet after being in shoes all day.
I definitely think it's the pheromones. Your feet, armpits, and intimate parts secrete more pheromones than any other part of the body. I read an interesting article in a scientific journal about the power of pheromones in a persons conscious and sub conscious mind. Quite interesting. Feet definitely don't smell "good", but I can see how it can be not the smell that specifically attracts you but the reaction you get to the smell, which makes you want to smell more. That's what pheromones do. If you like how feet smell, that's what you like. My husband has kissed and smelled my feet before, it's embarrassing for me but I've learned to relax about it. As long as you respect the person you're with, then I don't see any reason to worry about your "fetish".

Good thing you've never smelled mine after being in work shoes all day. They stink really bad. Generally I shower and soak my feet after in a good massager with scent bath salts, so I do my best to keep them smelling good. However the moment I take my work shoes off, I can clear a room. I guess I'm different.
Omg that sounds amazing. It might sound weird to you, but to people like me, the more a girls feet stink the better they smell. I would LOVE how your feet smell after a long day.

It's hard to say. Relationships do require doing some things you don't enjoy or even dislike for your partner... But it also means not getting everything you want, either. I definitely wouldn't want this one thing that I don't enjoy to take over our sex life. But there could be ways to make it work sometimes that we can both deal with.
