Guys, have you ever or do you ever plan on going to a prostitute? @johnvanjohn and I are of differing opinions on this. He says the majority of guys will and I say it's a small minority. So I'm very curious. Please be honest.

I think it depends on the legality and accessibility of prostitution in your country. I've stumbled upon forums where it seems like the norm to go to prostitutes even if you're in a relationship or married, especially when you're in a sexless marriage for many years.
Even in countries where it's not legal, there's a way to hire escorts/high-end prostitutes. Wasn't there a black book list from a madam including Hollywood A listed actors?

I'm with you, Belle. I think it's really a minority of men who will go to a prostitute, and an even smaller number who will visit them regularly.

I'm a guy and I would never use a prostitute. I'm not going to say it isn't tempting: I'm a 24 year old virgin and I'm dying to know what it feels like. However, if I get caught, I'll ruin my teaching career (which starts this year.) And to be honest, almost all prostitutes I see are extremely ugly and I feel like if I'm going to pay for sex, I want a little better quality than that.

@Bellegirl21 I guess I should have been more specific: It's just an internship (Student Teaching) but it's basically a job. I just won't be paid but internships often lead to positions. Either way, I'm done with school. Anyway, I know it sounds desperate but I have been wanting sex since I was eleven years old (no lie.) I'm losing my patience but my teaching career is more important.

I think your boy is wrong on this one lol. Most dudes wouldn't know the "spots" to find a prostitute, would feel really nervous or uncomfortable going for one, wouldn't feel safe and clean with it, and the biggest fear is getting arrested for it.

So no, most guys won't go for a prostitute.

Okay I just decided that it was a regular date even though she told me ahead of time. She wanted to have sex with me so it doesn't count because she was "off duty". So my answer is no. And I never will.

that's a myth. that it's about desperation. if you just feel like it and are bored of a hookup or date you can do it. a lot of men that talk like that i think are merely trying to show off to virgin overly sensitive girls on the internet... .

Actually I'm a cheapskate so that's the main reason why, also I've enjoyed my time of not being with someone the times I have not. Any time you have to pay for something that can easily be free and is illegal is desperate. I don't care either way if you or anyone wants to pay for one. To each there own.

thats not true. going to a "studio" has three benefits. 1) you can do it whenever you want. no seduction, drinks etc involved. 2) the intentions are clear, no sentiments etc invloed things are crystal clear for both. 3) it's focused in your pleasure rather than the girls. having a heavy schedule in your work that time might deplete a lot of your energy, so something fast and relaxing is always a good alternative. and a fourth case is if you are into it. some men have a fetish for that. some fetish have a fetish for strippers. i find going to a strip club much more irrational and pointless... .

The thing with morality is that is subjective other factors what may seem morally wrong here may be culturally acceptable somewhere else, that alone is a grey area. Now if there is basic human rights...(which is our birth right to freedom, and the ability to choose what path we will take in life...) Violation and human trafficking or all the other horrendous acts that take place in certain areas of that world, yes its a clear black and white situation... but there are those who actually CHOOSE to live that life and provide a "service" now I don't see that as a clear cut right or wrong, what would make them any different than porn stars, strippers, or Hell even showgirls. none of us really have the authority to firmly say its right or wrong as its based more on the circumstance than the general concept.

I'm sorry to say, yes, unfortunately. I've experienced almost everything.

I agree with johnvanjohn. My friends and I gone to prostitutes while some of them were committed. They just didn't have any fear of being caught so they joined the party.

It solely doesn't matter upon moral or economic values but circumstances, possibility, status, capabilities, reputation, loyalty, perception and health matter too.

They are, no doubt. But look at yourself, do you think you would be same if you were less social. Obvious answer, no. Your environment will influence your sanity. As long as you don't watch others, you can't understand what people actually are, what they do, how far/close we are to them, what's considered wrong/right. According to your condition, only virgin and sex desperate people would go to prostitutes but in reality you can see there are more than that, all because of social impediments.

I did when I was in the military stationed overseas. That said, important thing to note is that it was over 45 years ago, so:

Long before marriage
No real alternatives
The non-curable diseases had not been heard of
It was the norm, not unusual

Never done and no plans... the closest I've been to a prostitute was walking through a street with prostitutes behind windows.
