I love being topless, wether I'm sitting by myself or at the beach I love being topless and bra less, is this werid or a turn off at all?

Only when I'm home alone or something or just don't do a lot that day. I hate doing things without a bra, because my boobs will giggle and that doesn't feel nice and might even hurt.
It feels too awkward to be topless at the beach. Only old women do that here.

@Red_Arrow sorry, read over the 'in the states' part. People only go topless here if they want to tan their boobs and most of the time, only old people really go to the beach to tan. Why do girls in America go topless then?

To tan with as few tan lines as possible. That way they can wear strapless, backless, or whatever style tops. dresses without tan lines. I have talked with young girls from Spain on here that also go to beaches where they can go nude or topless, and have seen many young women topless when I was in France. I have also seen older people on nude beaches, but most are considerably younger than 40, right down to their teens.

@Red_Arrow yes, I've noticed that too in Portugal. I guess it's more in our culture to think it's a taboo to walk topless if you're young.

I have a friend who lives here now but spent most of his life in the Netherlands. He has spoken often of how much more open people are about the body there. @Red_Arrow that is actually true. We don't reallycare about nudity, but somehow being topless for young women isn't that common. Just like wearing a thong bikini (which you'll see a lot in Portugal). I live like 5 minutes from the beach my whole life and I've never seen a young woman topless. At least not younger than 30.

I asked that because it is not common for women to go topless at beaches here, unless nudity is allowed. I have seen many young women at the "clothing optional" beaches here going topless but keeping bottoms on. I think they want to go topless and do it there because they can, but it is also a safer environment so that I think many women in a society where toplessness is allowed might feel safer doing it at a nude beach where it would not stand out in any way as unusual.

I think it is normal. In many parts of the world women do not have to cover their breasts. In some parts of Europe it is ok to go topless at a beach. In the U. S. we are too conservative and hung up. Do what feels natural.
