I'm 25 years old and I have come to the realization that I will never have a girlfriend. I am ashamed at myself for being a virgin and for being unable to get a real girlfriend. My other friends are miles ahead and doing things with girls. It seems as if everyone finds someone but me. Every single one of my friends, every single one has done more than kiss a girl. I feel left out and I feel like I'm not up to par. It will only get worse for me as girls want guys with experience. No girl will ever like me because no girl ever has. I'm not that good looking so that's why I've never hooked up with a girl and I'm shy, which compounds things further. I would tend to agree with the above opinion. I say this because not unlike yourself I felt very similar and the approach you are suggesting is the method I used, and while not catastrophic, I felt somewhat conflicted when it was over. Was my experience negative? No, but I couldn't tell if she liked me at all or if I was good at all, I say these things because I had no way of telling if she liked me or liked me because I was paying her. Let me state this clearly for you:

Maintaining a relationship requires resources. You may be more than happy to commit them, but there is always an opportunity cost involved: the other things you could be doing with your time, money, and emotional energy. If you don't make that investment, then she will not be your girlfriend, and you will not be having sex with said girlfriend. Ergo, it's not free.
