Girls don't have hair growing in or on their vaginas. The vagina is internal. It has an external opening, where you insert a tampon or where a baby comes out. What you're referring to is your vulva. And the part of your vulva I think you're referring to is the rounded part that covers your pubic bone, which is called the mons pubis (or mons Veneris). The mons pubis is normally covered with hair after puberty, and it does contain fat deposits which is normal.
Me personally, I'm a fan of the thicker, meaty, fat, or puffy "flaps". Like all things dealing with sex people like what they like. Your larger flaps aren't good or bad they are what they are and it what's on the inside that counts.
