Toys feel better than a hand no matter what kind you get, but toys still aren't as good as an actual vagina. If a vagina is ribbed on the inside, i haven't noticed. Maybe its just too slick from the vaginal fluids for me to actually feel the rudges, who knows?

And to answer your question, i think it feels better when I'm pulling rather than pushing, because i have a rather large head, and the underside of it is where most of my nerve endings are at, so those nerves don't get rubbed as much when going in because the ridge of the head is blocking it, but when coming out, the rudge is pulled forward so that the nerve endings rub against the wall of her vagina.

I've fingered a number of women, and from my experience most of them (75% +/-) have some level of ribbing. To me, it seems to make more of a difference while fingering them and not so much during intercourse. The penis is sensitive, but not to that level. But while fingering, going in or out being better isn't really the question. Each direction is just different, not necessarily better. Some women get turned on by different things (rubbing all the ribbing or playing with an individual area, etc.) And it also depends on the level of ribbing, too.
