Asking your long term boyfriend about his penis size (he's above average)?

I know penis size is a favorite topic here for the men, and I'm sure most guys have measured it at some point in life. Guys, if you are above average in size, would you be offended by your long term girlfriend asking how many inches it is? Girls, have you asked your long term boyfriend this question and he got offended? (I asked my last boyfriend, he was offended but it was 7.5 inches. I know my husband is bigger than that, but I never asked him because I assume that guys think it's bad manners to ask.)

I think that when it comes to guys actually talking about their size it will all depend on whether they are comfortable with it or not. So if they're big (7+ inches) they probably would be more than happy to boast about it and on the opposite side, if they're a bit small (6- inches) some will most likely try to avoid the subject and/or lie about it.
You could probably quite easily figure out how a guy feels about the subject by just bringing up related questions. Not mainly about his size, but maybe just something regarding penises. If he's comfortable about it he will probably even say how big he is if he gets the chance.

The problem is that girls are awful at guessing a guy's size, they usually add an inch or two so if you're 6 inches for example, she'll think you're 7, and if you're 7, she may think you're 8.
This has happened to me several times, girls thinking I'm bigger than what I am, but I'm not gonna say anything though xD
And that's why you hear so many girls saying they only have had 6 inch dicks cause it's actually 5, but they guess wrong.

Since you know what size he is and whether it's 'enough' for you or not, why do you want the actual measurements.. bragging rights? To see if he's big compared to the average population? A long term girlfriend knowing your size is a major turn on, bc she knows one of the most intimate details about you. Even if the guy is smaller he gets a feeling if acceptance from the girl, plus being objectfied a little for your manhood is a turn on for us, bc we don't get that for our bodies like women do.
