There's not exactly an appeal of petite women. At least, not to me. I'm okay with all body types as long as you're not a horrible freaking person. But... if there is an appeal, its just that its cute. Its kind of a... extra feminine body type. Kind of like how women like huge, muscular dudes that play football, drink beer and have served in the military probably. Its ultra masculine, therefore appealing for little other reason apart from the biopsychosocial ones.
I don't know if it would be considered "petite" because i like girls who are around 5'0, small in stature, but average weight with nice curves (not underweight and skinny).
They appeal to me because they look much cuter and feminine, and they bring out the part of me that wants to protect them.
