Do Women Have More Sex Partners Than Men?

POLL: HOW MANY SEX PARTNERS HAVE YOU HAD? I got into an argument with this female friend of mine. I was telling her that it sucks that it's hard to find a woman who is open to have sex and how that I am a virgin. She told me that she is tired of men complaining about sex and how it's hard to get sex. Note: She is a nice girl, but very opinionated. She thinks that men have more sex partners and more sex overall than women. But... I beg to differ... and also she is only 24 and she already had 5 sex partners over her lifetime... and I have 0. On that note... I also know a lot of older male virgins (not by choice). What is your stance on this?

  • I'm over 10 but honestly the women out there seriously outnumber men. They just keep their mouths shut about it. My friends struggle. I had a good amount of partners before working out at the gym then the number just got higher.

    Many women are extremely shady and will use sex to pay their rent, fund their college textbooks, and so on. They also can go into a bar and easily walk out with a guy, however, the sex may or may not be good and that is why a lot of women may decide against sex with a stranger outside of the chance of getting attached.

    Now me just pointing this out will easily net me a lot of hate I'm sure. However if this wasn't true, I wouldn't be pointing it out. So I can imagine somewhat of how judgmental the girl was you were talking to because I've seen many girls get defensive on here when I mention this stuff. They get mad at me but are really mad at how true the situations I point out are.

  • Speaking to my own friendship circle (which contains a lot of guys not inclined to exagerate their numbers and no girls inclined to downplay) most of the girls have sleapt with significantly more guys than the guys have girls... but we're a weird and hardly representative bunch.

    The fact that you know a lot of older male virgins is more a reflection of them rather than women in general having more sexual partners. They are not the norm.

  • From what I've seen guys tend to think woman are sluttier than they actually are. I'm a virgin but people assume I've been with multiple people. I do think men tend to have more sexual partners than women. Women tend to be pickier about who they have sex with.

  • I think it's split, actually.

    There is probably a comparitively small number of men, who get laid quite often.

    At the same time, there are probably a comparitively large number of women who get laid regularly, if not excessively.

    If you take that into consideration, the amount of sex is relatively even, but the percentage of the two genders having that sex differs greatly.

  • I think men have way more sex partners because boys are taught that that's good, to fuck as many chicks as possible. It's opposite for a girl, who's taught to practically worship her virginity. It looks bad if a guy is a virgin past 16, but looks bad if a girl isn't a virgin until she's married. He's made fun of for never having sex, she's praised. He's told its good and a player, which is good, if he's had sex a few times. She's called a whore and a slut. So a girl MAY have multiple sex partners, she just won't ever say it. A guy will brag about it because thats deemed as good.

    The truth is, there is a smaller number of guys who have figured out how to get laid, and these guys get laid prolifically.
