Why do some guys love to wrap their hand around a girl's neck during sex?

Why do some guys love to wrap their hand around a girl's neck during sex? I've noticed that for some guys its a must, like a habit they can't shake. What about it that turns you on so much? If its your first time having sex with a particular girl do you do it or try your hardest not to wrap your hand around her throat? When you get more familiar with her do you just wrap your hand around her neck during sex or do you ask first?

  • A mix of dominance, the fact that the neck is a very vulnerable place and being able to touch there is a huge sign of trust and knowing that a lot of girls (guys as well) are quite sensitive on their necks.

Some also might want to feel the breathing through touching on the throat.

  • I'm guessing they've been watching porn and see the predominance of breath play as a female orgasm enhancer. I'm more about holding my hand firmly over her mouth while I have my rough and wicked way with her. That turns a lot of my ladies on.

  • Do you mean like cradling/cupping or choking.

Former- he wants to caress you and feel intimate.

Latter- he has watched way too much porn, thinks strangling turns a girl on and will probably push the envelope in a few other places.

  • If she wants it, fine, but I think it is a douche bag move.

  • It is pretty common and a lot of guys do it to be dominant and to show it I guess. Personally I wouldn't do it because it doesn't appeal to me but I think it's a dominance/ turns them on.

  • I dont think I've had that urge myself, but I think it might be a sort of dominance thing for some males.

  • I think it's psychological. It's sounds to me like a dominant move. It's like the guy is saying he could hurt you or take your life but he chooses not to. It makes the guy feels dominant and the girl feels vulnerable. It can be arousing for both. If it turns you off, you should tell it to your partner. We don't ask permission because first, it is a dominant move and second, it may ruin the move, but you don't have to take it if you don't like it.

  • I don't really like doing it, but I've had girls say that it turns them on. I like being dominant in bed, so I'll do things like hold her down, and pin her arms. But if you ask me, putting her in a chokehold is crossing the line.

  • Women that like being submissive but don't know it often get turned on by having their neck held or holding their hands above their heads while penetrated.

  • I couldn't tell you. I have never felt compelled to do that.

  • Sometime you just pretend to choke someone but don't actually do it because you would go to jail. Long live the Confederacy.
