Are Latinas really the best type of female? My ex made me feel insecure?

My ex boyfriend grew up in El Paso, so everyone he hung out with and dated were Mexican. He would talk about them all the time especially the females. He made me feel bad about myself because of the way he would talk about them and his ex girls like they are better than anything else. He's say things like, they have the best bodies and they know what a man wants etc. He would also turn his at every Latina he saw on the street. Not to mention he got drunk one night and got a private lapdance by a Latina. He only watched Latin porn too. I'm half black half white and ever since this relationship has ended I just wish I was Mexican or Dominican or any type of Latin. I hate feeling this way and want to stop but I can't get this notion out of my head that Latinas are more beautiful and exotic than I ever will be. I just feel like the general consensus of men generally prefer Latinas too. I just wish I was one. How can I accept myself the way I am?

There does seem to be a lot of guys like him. I'm not sure I understand why? I don't know if it's purely looks (exotic looking?) or something else?
I do notice Latina's have a very different "attitude" compared to other women. Whether real or fake (?), it's almost like a "loving" attitude. It's makes us guys feel good and appreciated, respected even maybe (it's a feeling we get)... that's 1 thing I personally have felt, but I don't know if that's the reason or not? But don't feel insecure. It's not all guys. And even those that do, often they like all women.

See this is a result of being attracted to the environment. His environment has effected him in a way that he feels Latinas are the hottest. Many people experience this kind of thing. Sucks, but it is what it is.

To answer your question I'm attracted to multiple ethnic groups. Latinas are hot, but I don't feel like they are the hottest. I don't think there is a hottest.

I guess so. I just wish I was never with him because I never felt insecure of my ethnic background until I met him! :( he made me feel ashamed of having black in me.

You know what is weird... that he said it (i mean what is the purpose?) As a latina i tell you , i will never accept that kind of comments from my boyfriend... we are kind of emotional which leads to jealosy sometimes so no my boyfriend cannot compliment any girl.
He should have learnt that if he dated a latina.

The best type of female is not specific to just one race/ethnic background. The best type of female is honest, true to herself and not afraid to stand out. That type of female comes in all different shades.

It was just the way he talked about them made me feel like why is he with me and not a latina. Made me feel like i wasn't good enough for him. And i loved him so much thats why it hurt

Your ex boyfriend was infatuated with latinas , which is ok, but he lacked tact. He should've learnt to shut his mouth about it. I don't think he might have realized he was hurting you. I think latinas are great, but so does mullattos or even any other types of women out there. It all depends on taste. It's just unfortunate your ex could not see what he had... Some men are really into mullattos, others are into Asians or caucasians etc... That doesn't mean they are "better". I am sorry you fell in love with the wrkng guy. I understand your pain. I'm not Latino; I'm Middle Eastern.
Yet, I do have to say that most Latinas are the most attractive. I just can't see other women of other ethnicities having their body-unless it's done with surgery enhancements. Plus, most of them have a beautiful face and their behavior is one of the best. So, in my book they are the best.

Yet, every guy is different and has different preferences.

No, not in my opinion. I think white girls are the most attractive, but Asian girls are the best because they are usually shorter, more traditional, and look younger (although usually not as attractive as white girls).

Half white, half Asian girls are ideal, because they would be the best of both worlds.

But i also can't deny the fact that black women usually have the best bodies. So i guess what I'm trying to say, is that each race has its pros and cons. Some people will have racial preferences simply because either the pros of one race are very important to him, or that the cons of one race repels him. You just have to learn to embrace the pros of your race, and learn to accept the cons of your race, and soon enough a guy who actually prefers your race will come along and make you feel like every other race is inadequate compared to you.
