I used to read some erotica and even more so write.
I stopped both though, because of the community as well as the general low average quality. Simply wasn't worth anymore to search through lots of crappy erotic stories just to find the occasional gem.
True, the searching through stuff does get a bit old...
On occasion I do find myself reading that stuff. Most of the time it's a literary interpretation of rule 34 of an anime or game I watch or play respectively.

oh hell yes!! I just hate it when the girl in every story looks the damn same... It quite pisses me off to have a perfectly good story ruined by another blonde with blue eyes..
