I think you can dominate without being rough. You can be hard and soft at the same time, so to speak... Rough implies basically doing your own thing, fucking the shit out of her, basically for your own gratification. Whereas I'd class dominance more as a dynamic interaction, where you're doing what feels good for you, but also *feeling* your partner, knowing when to change tact. There's also a lot of psychology involved also. Knowing how to talk to her in order to tease her and turn her the fuck on.
