Should wives be allowed to masturbate?

Husbands contantly struggle to get sex, they beg, they buy flowers, they do the housework, they take her out to dinner, but she still got a "headache". So in the end husbands only get sex from their wife the few rare times she feels like it, which is generally once a year, he'll make due with what he got and he will savour and enjoy that rare moment of copulation to the fullest. Here is the big problem, when a wife gets this one-time urge for sex, she could just waste it on masturbation instead of sex with her husband! So the husband's year-long wait would have been all for nothing and he'll have to wait an entire year again! This is why I ask, should married women be allowed to masturbate?

  • Dude. What?

Why should a natural process that every human being does (and many animals as well) be made illegal because of some thoroughly outdated social construct?

Also, what was that about wives having once-per-year sexual urges? Where the heck did THAT statistic come from?

Man, I am quite confused and a little offended that you'd think that way. Because it's what gives men such a bad reputation - you're acting as if the man of the household somehow, by default and without needing to do anything, DESERVES sex with their significant other? Like, WHAT? Sex must be consensual on both parties. It doesn't matter what the reasoning is, if either party doesn't want it, then it doesn't happen. Intimacy is not a right, it's a privilege.

Also, there's a lot of talk (from women) that a lot of men (probably myself included, i dunno) actually don't know how to really get a female partner to enjoy sex. Which makes it clear why they only have "one-time urge for sex" - men don't make it fun.

Ugh. I'm going to leave. Please don't say this in public, you'll likely get mauled to death by some (rightfully) livid individuals. Ta-ta!

  • While I've never been married, I've had long-term relationships (4-5 years), and I never lacked for sex.

Granted, I know that some women have huge hormone changes as a result of pregnancy which can kill their sex drive, and some conceal a low sex drive just long enough to walk down the aisle, but MOST of the time a woman loses her sex drive, it's because the guy isn't paying enough attention to her. I see it all the time. Hell, I've been guilty of it myself.

Your wife isn't your whore - expected to be ready for sex at your whim with no other relationship contact. But if she feels loved and connected, then the odds are she's going to be wet and willing CONSTANTLY.

  • A wife will likely not have sex with you for a good reason and that usually also resonates to no masturbation for her either. It doesn't matter how much you do for her, it's her body and her choice what she does and it should be respected. You should do nice things for her because you love her, not in the hopes of sex. Women aren't as sexual as men and as they get older and have kids, sex isn't on their mind as much.
Do you not consider the fact that many lose self esteem and confidence in their body and aren't comfortable showing their husband any more? Getting frustrated at her will not help! A woman can do what she likes with her body meaning she can masturbate instead of having sex. It's not in the vows that she must have sex with him whenever he wants. It's a mutual thing and instead of doing everything to try and make her sleep with you, how about you ask her sensitively why she's no longer interested in sex. She may give you a response that you can find a solution to like stress/lack of sleep, so it's a win/win.

  • Women's sex drive has nothing to do with their willingeness or not to masturbate, in the sense that when they are masturbating the most, they will probably also have sex the most, because their sex drive is on a high period. When their sex drive is low, females will masturbate less. If anything masturbating does not kill someone's sex drive. It increases it.

I sugest u two go try inovating in the bedroom, doing more foreplay and also perhaps tune up the romance. Romance is also like foreplay for women. So have a night alone the 2 of you. Have dinner out or in, but in a romantic seeting and mood :)

If women are not allowed to masturbate, the men shouldn't be either. Don't be sexist, try being wiser instead and more informed...

    • after reading all I am so guessing u do not have a wife, because ur description seems the classic stereotype, cliché that all men say. And if ur wife is not in the mood, something is clearly wrong with both of u. It takes 2 to tango

  • Dude, in which backward s country and in which decade or century do you live in? I pity any woman who ever dates you. You, with this kind of fucking backwards mindset.

    1. Your wife is not your fucking property. This is 2015. You can 't just "forbid" or take away your wife's right to personal pleasure when. She' s not hurting anyone.
    2. If your wife would rather masturbate when she's horny rather than fuck you, then the problem is you. Not her. You should fix your own attitude then.

  • Not my problem that you aren't sexy enough for your wife.

  • You really must suck in bed then if she only wants sex with you once a year. She probably prefers masturbation over sex with you.

  • Honestly, if your wife masturbates, it's for two reasons:

    A: It's easier.
B: You haven't been doing it right so she's gotta get it somewhere.

    • Truth!

    • Hell yeah buddy.

  • What the fuck? Seriously? LOL

  • Men can masturbate as well. And before you come out with "but what about sex it's not the same" neither is masturbation for a woman. That's why they have different names.

What about the married women who regularly have sex? What if they have a higher sex drive than their husband?

Not everything revolves around the golden penis.

  • so how exactly would this be monitored? i'm quite curious to know.

  • no women shouldn't be allowed to masturbate. they also shouldn't be allowed to drive, vote, look men in the eyes, or show any skin...

sounds like you fit in well with conservative Islam

  • If that is your experience with marriage, you have a big problem. I only know of one couple that has anywhere near that sexual lack, and they have much worse problems going on.

  • If you're only having sex as rarely as you portray, there are probably underlying issues that cause that. I'm not expert nor do I know you or your wife, but you should have a conversation with her about your sex life. Masterbation and sex are two different cravings. A lot of woman find it difficult to orgasm only with penetration. Maybe try mixing things up a bit and adding more foreplay and she might be more interested in having more sex. Just a thought!

  • once a year.

    bahahaaa 😂😂😂

    and yes

  • The poll are means the same thing. And the real answer is YES. Overall though she should cheat, he should too. It's obvious this marriage is doomed

    • Not are*

  • The problem isn't the masturbation, but her desire for HIM.

  • Should married women be controlled by their husbands?

  • Get what you want, from the 'outside world'.

  • Make it illegal for wives to masturbate? Good luck getting that passed senator...

    • You probably could find a tea Party + Deeply Religious majority for it (some day!).

    • Trump could get it passed. (Just ask him.) And it would be the kind of thinking he would likely push a law on.

  • Fukin that's funny... what a struggle!

  • Not sure putting someone in a place with nothing to do and nowhere to go would help solve this problem.

  • if you are horny and she won't give you some go masturbate, it is that simple

  • I know you're obviously trolling, that's why I won't take the time to type a serious answer.

  • If you have to beg and bribe your wife to want sex then the problem is you, not her.

  • "Allowed"? 😂😂😂😂
