I want to make this really clear. Sex is mental for females. Sex is a physical urge for men. And not always a desired one. It's just something we have to pursue and want. Equate males wanting sex to your desire for closeness and relationshipyness. Does that mean you hate sex? No. Not necessarily. Which means males still often desire closeness and such. But sex is most important to males, and closeness/commitment/other is most important to females. In general.
Just because a male watches porn or wants to fuck other hot women, doesn't mean he doesn't love you. And it doesn't mean he will fuck other women. It's just a physical impulse.
All this is a result of the ways we reproduce. Females only have one egg per month. This means they have to make very sure that the male they give a shot at fertilization is worthy of it. After all, if they choose a bad male, that's 9 months of wasted reproduction time that could have been spent having a better quality child. Very inefficient.
Whereas, a male has near infinite sperm. This means he doesn't have to be as careful as females. He could have sex with a thousand women and lose nothing, biologically, from it, and gains a huge chance at having offspring who will survive, thus perpetuating his genetic line.
This means males instinctually want to fuck as many average/attractive/hot as hell women as possible, and females are much more picky and careful. As sex is *instinctually* high risk for females and low risk for males.
In short, this means that--instinctually, not necessarily absolutely: humans are very diverse, and while instinct is there, social influence, beliefs, willpower, and general cognitive desire are also there--females desire quality more than quantity, while males desire quantity more than quality. But, that doesn't mean both don't desire both. Just to different extents.
I want to make the separation between instinct and cognitive desire very clear, as people have misunderstood my meaning, before. This doesn't mean males are incapable of loving one woman. It doesn't mean they're incapable of being committed. It doesn't mean they are incapable of enjoying a relationship. It just means that deep down inside, they want to have sex with as many women as possible. It doesn't mean they have to act on it.
So. Don't project your own sexuality on to males. Same for you males.

I know how you must feel. That was a really shitty thing for you're boyfriend to say. Its ok and normal to be attracted to other people, but you shouldn't let it develop into something like that. If you see someone you find attractive, you look at them once, then you go about you're daily life without comment and forget all about them five minutes later.
