Do you ever notice any signs that a person may be kinky/into BDSM?

Based off what they wear or how they act for example. I'm just curious because I often wear a collar, and I wonder if anyone gets the hint. I also dress kind of unique/"alternative" though, so I assume most people think it's just an accessory.

  • is the collar to designate you as a submissive or that you might be into other more taboo kinks like bestiality? lots more people are than you would ever want to imagine. i watch for subtle signs like zeta jewelry or i (heart) my dog stickers on everything or tee-shirts etc. or are you just into the bondage and being controlled aspect of bsdm and using the collar as an attractant to the other bondage kink people out there. either way for some people the taboo kinks are the only way that they can get off the gang plank and get those sex juices flowing and get the brain on deck with the rest of the body so as to get the power thrills associated with taboos. personally i like kinky girls but i see nothing sexy or sexual about hardcore torture and mutilation. however light bondage and other kinks are sexy and can be a lot of fun for both partners.

  • I'm into BDSM, but I dress very normal. I wear dressy office attire (dockers, button downs, dress socks and shoes) typically shades of gray (a bad pun but true description). When I'm not at work I enjoy wearing colorful clothes t-shirts, "fun button downs", hoodies, jeans, etc. No girl would ever suspect it.

My question for you is how can I subtly show that I'm into it as a guy? I don't want to change my clothing style. Obviously I wouldn't wear a collar in public, but maybe I could wear some sort of jewelry or something. I haven't been to Hot Topic in awhile lol. How do you dress unique?

    • I believe you also asked the previous collar question? If so then congratulations on the new collar. I answered that question as well.

    • That's a good question! You could maybe get a key chain/piece of jewelry with the BDSM emblem on it or something? Do you know what I'm talking about? dominationsubmission.files.wordpress.com/.../emblem.gif

    • I've never seen that before. There's an emblem?

  • Depends what kind of collar. Usually if I see one with a lock, I know it's BDSM, because one of my best friends is BDSM with her husband, and wears a locked collar whenever she leaves the house, or whenever he's not home. He's the only one with the key.

I wear normal collars though, but I'm not into BDSM.

It's difficult to tell honestly, unless you ask someone tbh.

  • I like to play a game and try and guess who is into the daddy kink side of things, but I don't legitimately know or have any clues that give it away that I look for.

  • Hmmm well I think it just depends because I'm def into it but I dress really girly. I'm more into being the submissive one though so maybe that's why?

  • Ah, yes, I do or at least have in the past. Not with everyone but for some people it can be fun to put a shibboleth somewhere about their person so other kinky people can recognise it. There are some true kink-ninjas though, the unassuming colleague etc, etc.
It usually takes a few times of me seeing that person though, it's not the first place my mind goes when I see it once, but if I've never seen them without a collar then I tend to draw that conclusion.

  • I would assume it as an accessory... Mayb u could put a little tag on it that says "your name here"

  • No there isn't but in sex if a guy tickles you its the first step to bdsm

  • Nah, if i see a collar i just know for sure that you're into to BDSM. It's actually quite common in the BDSM community for the submissive to wear collars with name tags of their masters on them. This generally means, if you want to play with her, you need to see her master first and ask permission. If she has a lock/padlock attached to the collar... beware aha, she is only for her master and there is no way you will get in.

  • It's hard to tell... a lot of professional's are into it. I would love to meet a doctor that is.

  • I love bdsm and you can't tell with most people by what they wear

  • No signs, l sometimes guess it from what l hear

  • I was recently told that my face says that I'm into sick kinky sex and bdsm. I don't know how to take that.

  • I don't pay people that much mind.

  • NOPE I get it! and when I see someone like you I try to have eye contact to see if we can chat

  • You know.. i've thought about that myself to be honest. I'll gladly take your advice and experience :p

  • I don't think that most people who are into it can be identified based on looks.
