Depends on the girl. In normal everyday situations I'm an alpha female. My job is in a very male dominate field and I spend all day everyday ordering around big tough guys. The bedroom is really the only place where I'm submissive. It is fun to change it up, sometimes he wants me to be the one to pin him down and take control and I'm okay with that. As for women not speaking out in bed, I certainly do. I'm not going to compromise my own pleasure to keep things from getting awkward. Women usually don't know how to suggest for a guy to do something differently without harming his, quite frankly, very sensitive ego. Its about being comfortable with one another and being open on what you BOTH like and dislike.
Why do most women want to be so submissive in the bedroom?
Probably due to gender role conditioning and the notion that femininity equates to submission. Plus I find most gals have no to little desire to dominate, control, hurt, degrade, insult, or harm another and instead tend to be people pleasers. Submissives seemingly suit that people pleasing tendency and gals desire to people please tags along with being submissive since it seems most guys desire to dominate.
I am very submissive in my relationship. It doesn't get boring at all for me. I have the type of personality that loves not being in control. My husband is a guy that has to have control in all things so we balance each other well. It's not that I want to be this way, I just am this way, I can't change I am who I am.

Because sexuality is way more pure in its expression and most women are to an extent submissive by nature (note there is a difference between a healthy submissiveness while being capable of handling themselves with enough strength and letting oneself subjugated).
The problem these days is that many women are pushed into positions where they have to be way more assertive, controlling and potentially dominant. Thus the desire to let go of all of this stress and strain increases and as a result their national submissiveness in a sexual context then increases as well.

Because a dominant man in the bedroom knows what he's doing and its easier for a girl to have an orgasm when she can let go and lose control. You are so right, I never liked passive/submissive girls. My favorite type of girls are assertive, self-confident, sexually aggressive and dominant. Actually, not all the strong feisty women are submissive, that's just a misinformation based on of some tall tales by so called "Alpha males", most of the strong women are dominant, but the problem is... most women are not strong (physically or mentally).
