I have been seeing a girl who is only 19 and was a virgin when i met her. She is extremly shy with her body. We can only have sex in the dark and she always gets dressed afterwards. But i dont understand it. She has a hot fit body but just no confidence. She lives with me and she sees me naked all the time and i do stuff like shower infront of her while she is brushing her teeth and she is totally cool and relaxed with my nudity. Just not hers. Girls, can i have some ideas on how to help her relax and enjoy our more intimate moments?

I had this issue and thankfully to my last boyfriend he helped me. He was always complimenting me and even though it still hasn't fully taken away my shyness, it has helped. It's important not to compliment her ALL the time because then it'll start to seem like your treating her like a child. Also try to understand it from her perspective, there's something about her body that she doesn't feel comfortable with so don't try to force her to be.

Maybe you can start by having a few lit candles in the room while you have sex, it won't be completely dark nor completely light. This might be a good first step. It worked for me.

Sometimes it's a time thing. With time she could grow more confident. I remember initially with my boyfriend I also preferred it keeping the lights off but with time, as we got more comfortable and used to each other, it became better and I got way more confident. Sometimes it really is just a patience thing. Other than that, try to compliment her more (If you don't already, if you do then keep doing it). Try to really connect with her by talking to her about her insecurities and tell her how much you'd enjoy her being more comfortable.
