When I took meteorology in college, one of the first things the teacher had us do was to test our knowledge by trying to name each US state. Delaware was the only state I didn't know where it was. I wasn't given a list of the state names though, but the idea of Delaware existing didn't occur to me. I'm from the west coast though. I pretty much know nothing about Delaware.
