We were hanging out with a group of friends, This White American guy and I were getting into an argument at college because he was saying that a man should never hit a woman and I disagreed. This is what I said "In most situations a man does not need to hit a women, since on average men are stronger they can just hold her until she calms down. But if there's a situation where the girl is physically stronger than you, or if she is a threat like a weapon or a gun, or if there's a burglar in your house and its a woman, I do think hitting a woman in those situations are justified" He then said "how much of a pussy are you to hit a woman, even in those situations you never hit a women, ever, like never. If you can't handle a girl with a knife or a gun then you are a fucking beta male bitch" and then wanted me to apologize to the women in the room. I refused because I stand by my opinion. He started saying in broken Spanish "Listen here AMIGO, why don't you use that CABEZA of yours and actually do what I say until a BIG PROBLEMO hits you, COMPRENDO AMIGO?" Is that racist? I'm Latino PS. He tried to hit me but I dodge it and punched him in the face and he fell. He tried to get up and his friends held him back. Then I said out loud "You know what guys, I was wrong to hit him, since I'm stronger then him I could have just held him till he calmed down" he got angrier and tried to break free. I had to pee so I left and went home.

I don't really think him speaking Spanish was racist though. Even someone that isn't racist, or sexist might throw out an insult they don't believe in order to hurt the person they are talking to when they are angry. Which is why I don't buy into the whole Blacks or minorities can't be racist. Yes they can. Technically speaking I'm part black on my dads side although I look more like a indigenous latino.

But I'm not saying necessarily he is racist. I'm just wondering if what he said was racist. For example if a person called me a SPIC, they could be racist, OR they could have just said something out of anger that they don't necessarily mean and were just desperate to hurt me.
