What is the appropriate FWB/F Buddy etiquette for texting?

I am new to the whole FWB/FB and casual sex scenario. Had my first experience last week. There was hours of talking before hand and then a night of (for me) mind-blowing sex. I hate being thought of as clingy and needy as I'm so laid back usually - but I don't know what the rules are for texting - if any. How do you usually approach this? How often do you text a FB/FWB I sent him a text the night after to thank him and he said he had a good time and I was fantastic. I know he was busy this week so I've not texted/had texts from him. Is a week after the event fine for me to say "Hey - how are you? Fancy a repeat performance?" or should there be more correspondence? I hate being a woman sometimes and feeling the need to over-think haha!

Yeah this can be tough territory because it really varies based on the guy. I mean for me, I'm surprisingly ok with clingy generally haha like I like to text people all the time, every day. I like to be in touch. But I know lots of other guys would maybe only want to connect like every other day or once a week or something, max. So it really varies.
I think best practice is to communicate with him and say you'd like to talk and what his thoughts are. Good luck! :)
