Guys, When you touch a girl's hair?

A close guy friend of mine suddenly touching my hair these days. He just kinda goes like *touches hair* why did you get a hair cut? (He likes short hair. We've had a discussion on this. Although I didn't get my hair short it was just a trim.) Another instance *touches hair from behind while standing in front of me* it was like a messy bun and he says "you look so cute like this" I've know him for more than a year and he just suddenly grew some sort of hair fetish lol. Like I know other friends of mine that have always touched my hair but I find it weird because he just started doing it out of no where.

Actually, when I like a girl, I eventually move on to the "compliment her on her hair stage" (if she has nice hair), and then I start playing with it sometimes or touching it or whatever.

He's just more comfortable with you/more comfortable with flirting with you.

His girl friend kind of had trust issues and they had been dating for less than 2 months. I was talking to her and I had 0 idea they were dating. She started crying he got mad because she had done that twice before and they broke up. He got mad at me too because he said I shouldn't have said the stuff I said about him flirting with me because it's not intentional. ... I don't really feel bad about it but that's what happened. He's supposed to be best friendselling with me...

So you knew already that he likes you as more than a friend.. so you should already know why he is touching your hair. You shouldn't have said anything to his girlfriend. next time only tell things like that to your BFF.

I didn't just randomly tell her that she was talking about that with her best friend and they were talking to me it just kind of came up. No I don't think he is because he also flirted with like every other girl. How would I know they were dating when they didn't tell anyone?
