If it's my partner, then that is alright. Things happen. Even if it's a close male friend, it might be a bit awkward, but I'll move away and talk about something else. If it's barely an acquaintance that wanted a hug in greeting and that happened, I'd be uncomfortable but again, try to move on and talk about something else.

That's something a guy actually can't control. I've cuddled girls before and didn't want sex at all, like not even slightly but because of the fact she was pressing her body against mine my body reacted with an erection, I'd say 80% of the time I'm cuddling I don't actually want to have sex but my body naturally gets a hard-on from having a girl pressed against me and feeling her body and warmth. Depends on my mindset though. You shouldn't feel pressured into having sex with them just to make it go away, goes away naturally unless you're grinding or moving to stimulate it more.
