How do I know if I'm a virgin and if my cherry popped?

My boyfriend and I spend as much time together as we can when we aren't working long crazy hours or I'm not in class. The other night I stayed with him like I have many times. He knew I was a virgin then and didn't really want to take that from me right away and we both felt the same regarding me childhood. Times before his ate me out and stuff like that and said I was still a virgin, but we never had sex. But the other night, we did. My monthly thing should have ended the morning before we had sex. We unexpectedly had sex that night. We used condoms of course. But I'm not sure if my cherry was popped. I bleed that night but also through the next day, I was sure that wasn't normal if it was my cherry. I figured maybe I was still surpiringly on my monthly and no sign that I was. If my cherry was popped it would've added more blood than there would have been if it wasn't, right? I've read articles but they all say different things. My boyfriend had had sex before and said I wasn't a virgin anymore. I don't know what to think? Did it pop? How would I know? How do you know if your officially not a virgin? Is there something specific that's supposed to happen to make you not a virgin?

  • I have had sex with several virgins and only one had as much as a drop of blood.

Penis in vagina makes you not a virgin.

A good sign is that it hurt like heck. I have heard that some women have already destroyed their hymen before having sex, but that was not the case for any I knew.

If you are in doubt, put your fingers inside. If you can feel a membrane, or can barely get one finger through, then your hymen is still intact.

  • if his dick was inside you, you´re not a virgin xD condoms don´t count. cherry popping is not a thing. this is a very backwards term... your hymen is actually not supposed to tear and bleed. that´s a sign of doing it way too rough on your first time. if you have not bled, you made everything right.

  • Once he stick it up in you, your not a virgin anymore :)

You bled which is most likely your cherry that popped, and since we all have different bodies, you might have bled a little more than other people! It happens.

Now i have a question-- did it hurt when you lost ur virginity? Just curious. Im always so scared to think/do it

    • Having sex even your first time shouldn't hurt if the guy knows what he's doing. Nothing actually pops/breaks if you're doing it properly, and thus doesn't hurt beyond maybe a stretch.

  • You're not a virgin if you've had that kind of sex, period. The state of your hymen is irrelevant. That being said, if having sex didn't hurt, then it was probably just your monthly. You'd be in a hell of a lot of pain if it was your hymen, because your 'cherry' isn't supposed to actually 'pop.'

  • If a penis was inside you you're not a Virgin. You can pop your cherry by doing the splits or riding a horse even. It's not a hard thing to do an most times you don't bleed. I bled because I ripped. You're not a Virgin

  • Well you've had sex so your not a virgin. It wouldn't be noticeable with blood if your on your period anyway

    • well I was on my period before we had sex but I hadn't had any signs of blood or cramps at all that day so I figured it was done

    • Might have just restarted it?

    • @DeezNutz33 Woo!

    • I got you ✊😁

  • You're not a virgin anymore. Sex is sex and it's normal to bleed a little or even not at all. I didn't bleed. The moment you're not a virgin anymore, is when the pens enters you.

  • Just say 'Farewell' to your V-card.

    • Nothing specific is supposed to happen to make you no longer a virgin. Just having sex does it. Your hymen just stretches, sometimes it bleeds the first time. But it can have been stretched or torn in a completely innocent way, maybe10 years ago.

  • You are not a virgin. You had sex. A ruptured hymen does not indicate loss of virginity. Sexual intercourse with a man does.
