So it's no question that guys can get hard randomly, especially younger guys. What do you think when you're out in public and see a guy with a boner?

I'd try not to look his way cause it would make him uncomfortable and I don't like to make anyone feel weird or awkward... even if it's not my fault they're in that situation. What would I think about it? I'd probably be like " oh, crap.. poor kid. I'm weirded out but lets just pretend I didn't see that. For his sake. "

I'm quite bad at spotting a boner for some reason, unless it's like sticking right out. I can't really tell, never could. I guess if I saw it I would be like "Hmm, wonder we he saw" but I wouldn't stare, why make him uncomfortable, if he was attractive, I'd probably want to stare at it a bit, won't lie.

The first thing I think is Lol.  Then I usually empathize with him a bit, it sucks but we've all been there and not much can be done about it, it's just normal biology so no big deal.
