Bad sex is better than no sex, or no sex is better than bad sex? Which is worse?

Im probably going to be different to a majority of the guys on this site but for me, I would rather have no sex than bad sex. I have a very active imagination and a big part of the process is the anticipation of what is about to happen next. It could be anticipating how perky her breasts look and how hard her nipples are when I slowly remove her bra. It could be the anticipation of when I enter her for the first time and feel my throbbing member part her lips for the first time.
Where am I going with this? Bad sex is like an anticlimax to someone like me- like celebrating new years lol. When I am aroused, my expectations are elevated and if bad sex follows, then quite frankly I am left feeling robbed of pleasure and that reality didn't live up to the fantasy I played out in my head. There have been many occasions where I have passed up on sex because I felt something was missing and would sacrifice pleasure (for both of us).

This is really a question of: how desperate are you for sex?

Someone who hasn't had any in a while (or ever) would be willing to tolerate a lot that someone who isn't so desperate for sex probably wouldn't.

For me, I'd rather pass on bad sex - it's not that hard to find good sex (for me, at least). But when I was much younger and a lot less confident/more desperate, I'm sure I'd have made a different choice.

If I loved the guy, even bad sex would still be enjoyable. The only way it would be horrible is if I didn't love him. In that case I'd rather not have sex

I'd rather not have sex at all if I know ahead of time that it's going to be greatly unsatisfying.

Depends how bad, I guess. If both get hurt, bleed, feel ashamed, then it was obviously bad enough to want to come back in time to cancel it. If it is just a bit dissapointing, still bad, it can be better than nothing. Just guessing tho. The answer-question is: "If you could go back in time not to do it, would you?"

What kind of bad sex? Sex where you catch an incurable STD is worse than no sex. Bad sex where you just can't finish or something is better than no sex.
