Would you go to a nude party if you were invited?

All through college my group of friends would host parties where guest were expected to be nude (or at the very least in their underwear). Anyone who was being a creep was thrown out and we tried to keep in relatively 50/50 guys and girls. Cell phones were left at the door so no one had to worry about unwanted photos. Overtly sexual behavior was not allowed. Fine wine and whiskey were provided. At Yale these parties are considered a right of passage, but elsewhere they aren't as common. Would you attend one of these parties if you were invited?

There's about zero chance that a party like that on most college campuses wouldn't turn into an orgy at best, and a rape-fest at worst. No thanks.

Obviously some people are assholes in disguse, but we do curate our guest lists to try to avoid them. If there are any issues the offender immediately gets the boot. We understand that people feel vulnerable when nude, especially in a group setting so we make the party as safe as possible.

During our larger naked parties we didn't provide weed- it would have been way too expensive. We have weed in our small nude gatherings sometimes though.

I get that its not for everyone. But seriously we've become way to repressed as a society. That's one of the reasons I host these parties. To get people to break past that repression and realize that there's nothing wrong with not conforming to societies expectations of nudity.

The dynamic is completely different from a clothed party. People are so conscious of how they’re coming across that conversations end up being more sophisticated. You can’t talk about how hot that chick was the other night.

I see. Basically it makes it a level playing field. It doesn't appeal to me because it feels very "uni" and not very adult. Its the sort of thing I would have avoided at uni because sophisticated talk is more for a dinner party in my opinion. I want a party to be fun and people standing around naked or in their underwear actually reeks of a lack of sophistication and more of a challenge to to prove confidence. But each to their own.

It also acts as an ice-breaker. You're already both nude so why not start a conversation. At first conversations usually center around things like "oh my god i'm so pale" or something else about being naked, but you can only talk about that for so long.

That's true. But what about reactions? You see a hot girl or guy and you get hard nips or your pole raises a flag as it were? Girls get wet when excited and guys get, well you know, so an awful lot of restraint is required. I suppose if you invite a ton of butterfaces then it should go off with a bang.

It hasn't been much of a problem. I think the first timers are too nervous to get aroused easily, and the regulars are used to it and don't have that kind of reaction.

The first one I attended (I attended a few before we hosted our own) I thought this would be an issue, but it never happened. I think it was nerves the first few times keeping it in check, and after that I was used to the nudity.
