What it was I had sex with this guy for several hours and my flatmate (adjacent rooms), commented "I heard a lot from him, not much from you". As in I made him moan a lot but I wasn't. And another shortly after "is she even enjoying herself" that friend of mine had a right laugh over my embarrassment.

Don't get me wrong I loved it, the best I ever had. But I seem to be more of a panter, my breath hitches, when I orgasm instead of moaning or screaming cus it feels so good, I, sorta, forget how to breathe and stop breathing for awhile before panting again. Several hours? O_o Gawdamn. And I thought I lasted a long time. As long as your breathing tells the tale, it would be alright with me. Dunno about other guys. The primary thing is that he knows that you are enjoying it. If you just did absolutely nothing, then that would be fucked up. Most women moan, but if you don't, then I think most guys wouldn't hold it against you. Especially if they can tell you're getting off via panting and clawing and that thing when women arch their back and put their hips and basically writhe and whatever else. As long as there is some kind of feedback to where he can tell "it's working".

Moaning is a non verbal cue we are doing good and eggs us on to do more of it. I started "moaning" in my twenties so I didn't have to say things like "Right there" as it sounded incredibly dumb to me.

I dont care for much moaning, i think it crosses the line to sounding kind of fake rather easily. Sometimes it feels like a girl just does it because they see it in porn or something. I dunno. I'd rather you do whats natural and genuine.
