Why don't more women sell their virginity and set up a life for themselves?

I'm wondering why women don't sell their virginity and make a good chunk of money they can use as a starting point to buy a house or something. There are plenty of girls who see their virginity in an online bid and get it sold for like 1 million dollars, 500k etc. Look at this example just recently.

This girl is auctioning off her virginity for her family who are in financial difficulties and the current bid is set at 400,000 US dollars. This is a lot of money and I'm wondering why more young girls don't do this and make some decent cash they can use to buy a new home, or whatever for themselves.

I mean would you rather waste it away on some guy you "love" who you going to break up with in 1-2 years in highschool or use it to make some serious cash.

Virginity can be a precious thing to us ladies. Most of us would usually want a person we value to pop the cherry. Selling off our virginity is by no means an easy feat. Who knows if that someone who bought your virginity could be some 70 year old man? It sounds unimaginable to me. There are better things to sell. Besides, selling your body might be demoralizing for some. It could also change the way others perceive you to be.

I've thought about it but here's the thing. Making money from any sexual act is seen as prostition, if that happens to come across the police you will get prosecuted for it and you end up with a record. If you have a record you will have a hard time finding work, so basically you end up with big problems later in life. So i don't find the money worth it to go through all of that shit.

@Goodnightcharlie well in the netherlands, where i live, prostitution is somewhat legal. According to the law it would be illegal but my country chooses to half obey the law in this case. But there are rules, you have to be over 18 years old and it has to be by your own free will. So i guess you could say it could happen here, i just think there would be a lot of media attention.

It is very sad though and definitely against my morals :( I really feel so horrible for her feeling the need prostitute herself to help her family. Some people just do it because it's easy money but if they are truly struggling doing everything else they can. :(
