Is it normal for American women to be promiscuous?

I've been in America for almost a month now and I've seen a lot of women being very promiscuous. That's not how women behave where I'm from and it's very unappealing because I don't really want to be friends with women who act like this. Is that how most American women are? Do they just jump into bed with any guy who asks them? I thought that all of this was from movies, I didn't think women actually behaved in such ways. Is it normal for American women to be promiscuous like this?

Looks can be deceiving. Sure American women talk to a lot of men and maybe even flirt a little with them for fun, but they don't just jump into bed with men. They usually want a man who is at least potentially husband material. Look at me I am 26, a man, I have lived in the US my whole life, and I am still a virgin. If American women were so promiscuous how come I have never bedded a girl? Also even if you don't agree with their lifestyle you can still be friends with other women. I of course don't know much about this, but I think women kind of need the whole global sisterhood thing for emotional support. Where are you from anyway?

No. They jump into bed with any guy who meets high physical standards who ask them.

It's sort of a typical myth thrown around by women that promiscuous women sleep with anyone. In fact, they have higher standards for who they sleep with, but no standards for how that person treats them/is committed to them. There are guys that promiscuous women wouldn't touch that girls who date seriously would, but the guys that the promiscuous women will sleep with? They sleep with them immediately.

Well you didn't define promiscuous. Different people have very different ideas on that. If you are from a place that is very strict, it may seem like American women are promiscuous. But from studies I've seen, they are pretty close to the world average.

In places where it is more strict, people just hide it more. Same in the US 40-50 years ago. It was considered more taboo then, so people were just not as open about it. They still did it though.

That is the way it is here, it seems. The Americans start romancing even in their grade-school years instead of focusing on their studies, from what I've observed. And it all goes from there.

How do you know they are promiscuous? Presumably they are not discussing their sex lives with you. Or are you imagining they must be promiscuous because of the way they dress and behave?

It's not about Nationality, it's about attitude and sociales mores... If a woman wants to have sex why judge exactly? she has different desires than you, so fucking what? What is wrong with being promiscuous exactly? because i'm a total slut in that case : 15 sexual partners in 4 years ;)
